Customize t-shirt for little girl

Hi friends!

Today we will see how to customize a t-shirt using our Big Shot Plus and different techniques, because we will make a part with stamps and fabric paint and other sewing.

The stamps are a convenient way to personalize the t-shirts, especially if you need to make several equal. The patch in question will give you a romantic and a personal touch.

You needs:

Cut a square of fabric of the right size for the die and paste interfacing behind with the iron. Cut with the Big Shot.

To make the stamp cut the letters foam  using the Big Shot and Alphabet Die. Mark a line on the cardboard that would serve as a guide and paste the letters with the white glue, paying attention to remaining mirror. Let dry.

Cut the cardboard leaving a margin of about 1 cm around the text. Place a plastic bag inside the T-shirt to protect the back, spread on the table and fix it with tape so that it does not move.

Measure the center and with a ruler and tape define the space where we have to put the stamp. Distribute the fabric paint on a brush in the stamp, place it in the right place and press. Let dry.

Glue the shape of fabric with the fabric glue distributing the glue carefully over the entire surface. Let dry. Then, I stitch the edge with small stitches for safety, and drew some details with the textile marker, but both steps are optional.

A tip: wash the T-shirt following the indications of the paint manufacturer to preserve it.

What do you think? See you next week with more original ideas to optimize our Big Shot!

Ciao amici!

New Cards by Karine

Hello!

After showing you very detailed mini books two Thursdays in a row, now it’s time for simpler creations: two nice cards ready to be sent with a color combo grey, yellow & red!

Supply List:

Papers: My Mind's Eyes
Gold paper
Button, thread, rhinestone, sewing pin
3D foam

Dies:

650515 : Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit
660320 : Sizzix Precision Base Plate for Intricate Thinlits Dies
657837 : Sizzix Bigz XL Alphabet Die Word Play
658356 : Sizzix Textured Impressions Embossing Folders 2PK-rose-vines-trellis-set
657565 : Sizzix Framelits Die Set 8PK-squares

Start by cutting two rectangles out of striped grey paper scraps then fold in half.

Decorate the front of each card by adding embellishments such as buttons, rhinestones and twine thread.

For the first card, I started by embossing a yellow paper with the “Textured Impressions Embossing Folders 2PK-rose-vines-trellis-set”.
Then I cut a square with the Framelits Die Set 8PK-squares die, and a larger one in a different paper. The two papers are superimposed: the yellow paper being glued with 3D foam pieces.
Then simply add thread and a pretty heart shaped pin.

For the second card, I used another die to cut a heart out of red striped paper; it will be completed with a small rhinestone!
Then I cut a “&” shape out of gold paper with the most fantastic alphabet die set I know of!!!! To try it is to adopt it!!!

And here we are! Two sunny little cards!

Thanks for your visits on the blog!

Have a lovely day,

Karine

Bonjour !

Papiers : My Mind's Eyes
Papier or
Bouton, ficelle, strass, épingle couture
Mousse 3D

Dies utilisés :

650515 : Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit

658356 : Sizzix Textured Impressions Embossing Folders 2PK-rose-vines-trellis-set
657565 : Sizzix Framelits Die Set 8PK-squares

A vintage bounting for Summer Time

Hi everyone! How is going your summer ? Great and creative ? Of course mine is full of free time to enjoy with my Sizzix dies and  trying a new project. Today I come with a Summer Bounting , although I could say this one finally  looks like a Christmas project in July, lol.

Well, I wanted to sew some decorations for home or even our caravan, and here it is. I love bounting and I used some Sizzix Dies.

This is a very easy protect.
Supplies :
98" bias ( mine is bought)
98" pom poms ribbon
Fabric for your letters
Fabric printed  for your banner  and fabric backing
Double side fusible web
Thread for applique

First you must to iron  your fusible web as instructions are said for yours on the wrong side of the fabric.  Cut out each letter with the alphabet dies
Them cut out ten banners top, and back ( 10 each one ) I cut out the hearts too for using in other opportunity.
Press your letters on the printed banner and sew around  with straight stitches mating the same color thread.

Now you have all the letters sewn.

Lay the backing fabric wrong side together and sew around too with the same color thread you used.

Finally add the pom poms and bias. I sew all together at the same time.
And you have do it !!!

I have to say I love inside my caravan  giving some vintage style as I like.

Now , it matches with the cute vintage caravan kitchen cloth I showed before.

I am enjoying it in my patio   too   and getting  a summer decoration  with the Vintage Dresden Table Topper  and my Easter basket  . Just go there  if you want to see the tutorials.

Hope you are having fantastic holidays!
Have a good weekend!
See you in two weeks with something new!
Love
Mercedes

............................................................**********************...........................................................

Mercedes

Scrapbooking Layout: Summer

Happy Friday Sizzix friends! It’s Anna here today, sharing a new project.
I am not in holidays yet but fortunately I live near the sea and this week end we went to the beach. So I take the opportunity to take some pictures. Here is a new scrapbook page, summer style:

I love the Sizzix Big Shot Plus machine! In particular the Sizzix Textured Impressions Plus Embossing Folder - Botanical Swirls (660579) is ideal to create yourself your background pages!

I used the A4 Embossing Folder to create a white strip. It´s so much fun and you can use every colour you want to! :)
With my Big Shot Plus I cut out some shapes with dies: a little flower, the title and the polaroid frame to create a shaker box.

Per le amiche italiane! :)

Ho aggiunto infine altri piccoli abbellimenti qua e là.

Bird and bear bibs

I have some new favourite dies -
I think these look good on little bibs, but I also have other ideas for Christmas!
I love the simple shapes - they are ideal for applique - although for the bear I have embroidered the eyes and nose as the pieces are so small.
To make the bib I cut a triangle 42cm across and 24cm to the point -
and I cut off the points on the top corners.
I fused Heat and Bond to the wrong side of mid grey and aqua coloured plain fabrics and, using the die and the Big Shot, cut out the bird in grey and the heart/wing and the eye in aqua
I fused it in place and then stitched around the shape so that it will withstand multiple washes.

The backing was cut in towelling, the 2 pieces were stitched, right sides together, leaving an opening in one side -
When the bib is turned right side out the opening is slip stitched together.
To complete 2 small pieces of Velcro were stitched on the corners of the bib -
remember that one piece will be on the right side and the other will be on the wrong side.
The bear bib is made in the same way, but I fused the pieces on in stages to make the stitching easier -
If-the scarf is stitched a piece at a time you don't need to keep stopping and starting and securing the ends of the threads
and I stitched French knots for the eyes, and a few satin stitches for the nose -
then the bib is put together in the same way as the bird bib.
I've given one with a bear on it to my daughter for her little boy, and I think I might be making a few more. You can make then personal by adding the baby's name, using one of our alphabet dies - http://www.sizzix.co.uk/product/657837/sizzix-bigz-xl-alphabet-die-word-play is a good size and quite fun because it's irregular.
That's all for this week - I hope I'll see you at the Festival of Quilts - I have lots of dies to demonstrate - so come and say hello to me on Lady Sew and Sew, or Beth on Cotton Patch, and Mandy on Abakhan.
Enjoy the show if you're coming, or enjoy some sun and sewing.
Angela

"BFF" Cards by Gerry van Gent

Hello Sizzix Friends

I hope you all enjoy a sunny and relaxing Sunday!
Here, in the Netherlands, we are so lucky to have a good start
to the season - the sun is shining and it feels like a real Summer :-)

For my post today I would like to share two cards I created for my
daughter's best friends. On the last school day she wanted to give
them a small present with a card... and this is where I got involved ;-)

I placed the Spring Garden #3 die in the middle of the front
of the card and die cut it. After that I removed the excess leftover
cuts and attached back the Spring Garden #3 die to the window card.

I adhered a square pattern paper inside the card.

I decorated the die-cut flowers with sugar dots.
2

I used one of the Decorative Trim #2 dies by Craft Asylum
to make a frame round the square.

For the letters I used one of the alphabet dies from our Essentials Range -
The  Wanted   alphabet by Tim Holtz.
Each letter was die cut twice -  from light/dark brown cardstock.
The dark die-cut letter I used as shadow.
I gave a "painted" look by using a white pen.
