Love House altered frame

Happy Friday everyone, It's Anna with a new Sizzix project.

I'm in the home stretch until summer vacation! Just four more days! I'm so looking forward to the slower paced summer days. No schedules, no running... yeah!

Today I would like to share a short tutorial about how to create a Home decor: a sweet little house on a canvas background.

 

 
This frame is a cute gift (for others or yourself) and is the perfect choice to celebrate a young couple, a new house or an anniversary.
 

 
How to make:
Preparing your frame: once you have purchased your frame, remove the packaging, glass and mat from the frame.
I first covered my background frame with fabric.
I cut out my house from some patterns and put it together using Original die.
I stitched on die cut house and roof.
I cut out the "love" from felt using my Big Shot Plus. The thickness of the Original dies (or Bigz) makes it very easy to cut through thick materials as felt.
The last embellishment was the heart that I created with Original dies, glued above lace.
Ready to hang!

Buon Venerdì a tutti, sono Anna con un nuovo progetto Sizzix.

Finalmente sono in dirittura d'arrivo per le vacanze estive! Mancano pochi giorni! Non vedo l'ora di abbandonare i ritmi lavorativi e passare bei momenti senza orari, senza correre...

Ma veniamo a noi, oggi vorrei condividere un breve tutorial su come creare un facile home decor: una dolce casetta su uno sfondo di tessuto.

Questa cornice può essere un simpatico regalo (per gli altri o per se stessi) e adatto a festeggiare una giovane coppia, una casa nuova o anche un anniversario.

 
Ecco come fare:

Preparazione della cornice: togliere l'imballaggio, il vetro e il retro.

Rivestire il lo sfondo in tessuto a scelta. Io ho scelto una stoffa dalla trama pesante, di un bel colore viola.

Ho fustellato la mia casetta con la fustella Original, usando ritagli di carte fantasia.

Ho cucito a macchina la casa e il tetto direttamente sul tessuto. Se volete potete solo incollare, senza cucire.

Tagliare con la Big Shot Plus la parola "love" da un pezzo di feltro. Lo spessore delle fustelle Original (così come le Bigz) rende molto facile tagliare materiali spessi come feltro, stoffa ecc

Come ultimo tocco, ho fustellato due cuoricini, li ho sovrapposti ed incollati sopra ad una striscia di pizzo colorato. Un bottone di stoffa sulla “o” dona un tocco più “handmade” a tutto l'insieme.

Ecco il quadretto, pronto da appendere o da regalare!

 

Bene, spero che il progetto di oggi vi sia piaciuto. Non vedo l'ora di condividere altre idee e progetti utilizzando le magiche fustelle Sizzix!

Felt Ice Cream Keychain and Brooch

Hello there! I’m Anna from Café Creativo and I am so excited to share this project with you today!

This week I am bringing you a project that will help use the fabric and felt scraps ;)

I made these jewels textiles. I thought it would be lovely to share a tutorial to make a small last minute gift for this summer.

 

 

I die-cut the bits and pieces using the new seasonal dies from Echo Park collection.

I chose ice cream to make a Keychain and some hearts to make a Brooch.

 

 

 

Make a textile brooch using leftover fabric and felt, it’s so perfect for a summer t-shirt!

 

Here’s how you do it:

Cut out one medium heart from felt, one small heart from your fabric.

Pin and sew the two hearts together.

Glue or sew on the back a strip of fabric and a piece of lace.

Add a button, a rhinestone and a decorated pin.

If you want to make a brooch sew a brooch bar onto the back. If you are making a keychain add the ribbon loop and keyring at the top and add a second heart on the back.

Blanket stitch around the edge of the heart with a contrasting thread colour.

Your brooch or keychain is finished!

Ciao, sono Anna di Café Creativo e sono felice di condividere anche oggi un nuovo progetto!

Questa settimana vi mostro un progetto che contribuirà all'utilizzo degli avanzi di stoffa e feltro, che si accumulano sempre.

Ho realizzato, infatti, dei bijoux tessili, molto simpatici ed adatti all'estate, che si possono realizzare con pochi materiali, anche in vacanza ;) Ho pensato, quindi, che sarebbe stato carino condividere un piccolo tutorial...

Ho tagliato i vari pezzi utilizzando le nuove fustelle della collezione Echo Park. Tra tutte le bellissime forme delle fustelle Bigz, oggi ho scelto il gelato per fare un portachiavi - grigri e i cuoricini per fare una spilla. Ma ci sono anche deliziose cupcake, farfalle e persino una macchina fotografica!!! Da collezionarle tutte! :D

Un progetto facile è quello della spilla, che è perfetta per ravvivare una semplice t-shirt estiva!

 

Ecco come si fa:

L'elenco materiali è in fondo ;)

Tagliare un cuore medio dal feltro, un cuore piccolo dal tessuto prescelto.

Spillare e cucire i due cuori insieme.

Incollare o cucire sul retro una striscia di tessuto e un pezzo di pizzo.

Aggiungere un bottoncino, uno strass e uno spillo decorato.

Se si vuole fare una spilla cucire sul retro un base per spilla. Se si si preferisce fare un portachiavi aggiungere il nastro e l'anello portachiavi in alto e posizionare un secondo cuore sul retro.

Eseguire poi un punto festone intorno al bordo del cuore con un filo di colore in contrasto.

Ecco fatto, la vostra spilla (o portachiavi) è pronta!

Scrapbooking Layout: Summer

Happy Friday Sizzix friends! It’s Anna here today, sharing a new project.

I am not in holidays yet but fortunately I live near the sea and this week end we went to the beach. So I take the opportunity to take some pictures. Here is a new scrapbook page, summer style:

I love the Sizzix Big Shot Plus machine! In particular the Sizzix Textured Impressions Plus Embossing Folder - Botanical Swirls (660579) is ideal to create yourself your background pages!

I used the A4 Embossing Folder to create a white strip. It´s so much fun and you can use every colour you want to! :)

With my Big Shot Plus I cut out some shapes with dies: a little flower, the title and the polaroid frame to create a shaker box.

I added other small embellishments and tag to finish.

A simple and fast way to realize a pretty page of scrapbooking.

Buon venerdì a tutti, sono Anna e sono qui oggi per condividere un progetto creato con i prodotti Sizzix.

Non sono ancora in vacanza, ma per fortuna abito vicino al mare e nei week end andiamo quasi sempre a fare qualche bel bagnetto. Quindi colgo l'occasione per scattare foto da scrappare. Ecco quindi una nuova pagina scrap, summer style ;)

La Big Shot Plus mi piace sempre più, in particolare, la possibilità di usare le maxi mascherine da embossing, sono l'ideale per abbellire diverse cose e creare anche gli sfondi delle pagine! Io ad esempio, ho usato la nuova mascherina in formato A4 Sizzix Textured Impressions Plus Embossing Folder - Botanical Swirls (660579) per creare una striscia bianca, molto decorativa, che mette in risalto la foto. E' facile da usare ed è possibile utilizzare tutti i colori che si desidera! :)

Con la mia Big Shot Plus ho poi tagliato alcune forme con le fustelle: un fiorellino che sembra quasi un agrume, il titolo e persino la polaroid, con cui ho creato anche una sheker box.

Ho aggiunto infine altri piccoli abbellimenti qua e là.

Un modo semplice e veloce per realizzare una pagina scrap ;)

Non voglio annoiarvi, per cui se volete altre spiegazioni, scrivetemi.

Creative ideas for summer party

Hi everyone, It’s Anna here and I'm so excited to be here today sharing a fun idea for Summer!

I love the new Sizzix Big Shot Plus starter Kit! I’m going to show you how to use this kit and two other dies for your summer party. I used also the nice flower from Botanical Bloom collection design by Craft Asylum.

With a bright yellow selection of lemons and flowers, I created: garland, little baskets and party invites.

There is nothing like enjoying refreshing citrus on a warm summer’s day! ;)

Let me explain you how to make the garland:

1- Fold the paper doilies in half.

2- Created your lemon using two circles (cut in half) and three leaves of Starter Kit. Assemble the lemon and add to the doily.

3- Place twine between the layers of any doily and glue together.

4- Cut out more flowers using Bigz Die - Bountiful Botany #2 , I used also a piece of mesh bag of lemons to created a flower. Layer the shapes to created two beautiful flowers and add.

So, is an easy and fun way to set the scene at your next party or celebration!

Sizzix Cutting Pads are now colored in a new delicious flavor: mint!!! With striking color, these deliciously colored Cutting Pads can be easily spotted on any work station.

I used also the useful Magnetic Platform for Wafer-Thin Dies. For perfect registration, this Magnetic Platform uses high-grade magnets to hold Thinlits, Framelits and other chemically-etched, wafer-thin dies securely in place during cutting.

Ciao a tutti, sono Anna e sono felice di condividere con voi un'idea divertente per l'estate.

La nuova Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit mi piace tantissimo, non lo nego! Infatti sto per mostrarvi come usare il kit e altre due fustelle per abbellire le feste d'estate. Ho usato anche il delizioso fiore della collezione Botanical Bloom by Craft Asylum.

Con una bella selezione di sfumature gialle, sotto forma di limoni e fiori, qualche tocco di rosa, ho creato diverse decorazioni, come una ghirlanda, dei cestini e naturalmente gli inviti.

Non c'è nulla come gli agrumi per rinfrescare una calda giornata d'estate, non credete?! ;)

I cestini li ho creati con la fustella Thinlits scatolina, mentre ora lasciate che vi spieghi come fare la ghirlanda (in fondo trovate l'elenco dei materiali):

1- Piegare i centrini di carta a metà.

2- Creare i limoni con due cerchi (tagliati a metà) e tre foglie dello Starter Kit. Assemblare il limone e incollarlo al centrino.

3- Mettere lo spago tra gli strati del centrino e incollare insieme.

4- Tagliare diversi fiori utilizzando la fustella Bigz Die - Bountiful Botany #2 , ho usato anche un pezzo di rete dei limoni per creare un fiore, visto che le fustelle Bigz sono in grado di tagliare anche più strati di questo materiale. Sovrapporre le forme di fiori, per creare due bei fiori da mettere all'inizio e alla fine della ghirlanda.

Ecco un modo semplice e divertente per creare un po' di scenografia alla vostra prossima festa d'estate!

Ah avete visto un'altra novità??? Ora i Cutting pads sono anche di colore verde menta!
Sarà capitato anche a voi con quelli completamente trasparenti, di non riuscire a "vederli" sul tavolo di lavoro. Con questo nuovo colore, possono essere facilmente trovati e non si mimetizzeranno più con le carte e tutto il caos creativo che regna sovrano! In policarbonato di alta qualità, questi nuovi cutting pad colorati vi accompagneranno per migliaia di tagli con le vostre amatissime fustelle!

Come si vede dalle foto, per questo progetto ho usato anche la Standard Magnetic Platform for Wafer-Thin Dies, la piattaforma magnetica, perchè è molto più comoda se si usano le fustelle sottili (Framelits e Thinlits). Queste si appoggiano e non si spostano! Perfetto!

Happy Birthday Card in a Box

Happy Friday everyone, It's Anna posting today.

I hope you had a great creative week! Here is the card in a box I’ve done for birthday of my friend. This is such a fun craft and a special way to show someone you care. I love putting together a “happy birthday” in a box. It’s fun to have a garland all nicely tucked into a box waiting to surprise someone!

 

 

The dies of Big Shot Plus Starter Kit allowed me to do this box super fast!

 

 

When your special someone opens the box, the Garland will look like a pop up card!

 

 

 

Can I say how much I adore this Starter Kit? The Thinlits die box has the lid attached. For this project, I tried to change.

To make the box's lid: first I cut out half lid from yellow cardstock; then I inverted the die and cut out the other part, so as to realise a unique lid.

 

 

I cut out the box from floral paper and assemble it. Then I selected the papers and cardstock to use for my garland and I cut out hearts, tag, butterflies...

Fortunately, Sizzix now has the perfect solution for intricate dies: the Sizzix Die Brush & Foam Pad for Wafer-Thin Dies. This accessory easily rolls away excess paper to reveal the perfect cut!

 

 

To make the garland: I used a sewing machine to stitch the shapes together. Simply start by placing the first piece under the presser foot, put the needle in the down position and start stitching. Continue stitching, allowing the machine to stitch a few stitches between each new shape.

 

 

 

The fun thing about creating your own is that you can customize them to match your color scheme!

Ciao a tutti, come ogni venerdì Anna è qui per una nuova ispirazione.

Spero abbiate avuto una bella settimana creativa! Ecco un “biglietto di compleanno in scatola” che ho creato per il compleanno di un'amica. Ho scelto colori estivi e fruttati, vista la stagione. Si tratta di un lavoretto che avevo in mente da diverso tempo, perchè è un modo davvero speciale per fare gli auguri: l'effetto sorpresa è assicurato!

Le fustelle comprese nel Big Shot Plus Starter Kit mi hanno permesso di fare tutto ciò più velocemente di quello che avevo immaginato. E quando finalmente la persona apre la scatola, la ghirlanda esce fuori, quasi come un pop up!

Posso dire quanto mi piace questo Starter Kit?! Si riescono a fare tantissime cose e ve ne ho già mostrate diverse. Solo che la fustella Thinlits in formato A4 ha il coperchio attaccato. Per questo progetto, ho provato a fare una piccola modifica, perchè altrimenti la scatola con ghirlanda sarebbe risultata un po' scomoda da aprire.

Vi spiego come: prima ho tagliato metà coperchio dal cartoncino giallo; poi ho invertito la fustella e ritagliato dall'altra parte, in modo da realizzare un coperchio unico (vedi foto dei passaggi). Più semplice a farsi che a dirsi!

Ho quindi tagliato la base della scatola ed ho assemblato i due pezzi. Poi ho selezionato le carte da utilizzare per la mia ghirlanda ed ho fustellato diversi cuori, tag, farfalle ...

A proposito di farfalle, avete visto la novità? Sizzix ora ha la soluzione perfetta per le fustelle “traforate”: si tratta dell'accessorio Sizzix Die Brush & Foam Pad for Wafer-Thin Dies, che fa rotolare via la carta in eccesso e rivelare il taglio perfetto. Non ci credevo, ma è molto utile!

Ed ora vi spiego come ho creato la ghirlanda: con la macchina da cucire, bisogna cucire insieme le forme di carta ritagliate e sovrapposte. Basta semplicemente iniziare posizionando il primo pezzo sotto il piedino, mettere l'ago in posizione abbassata e iniziare a cucire. Continuare a cucire, inserendo nuove forme, facendo in modo di cucire alcuni punti tra una forma e l'altra, per lasciare un po' di spazio.

Questo progetto è molto versatile ed è possibile personalizzare la combinazione di colori a piacimento.

Birthday card with layered Tattered flower

Hello! It's Anna here to share some ideas using Sizzix products.

Hope you all are well and having a wonderful week.

Today I have a card to share that is full of romantic colours and a beautiful daisy flower. I share a tutorial on making paper flower using Tattered Florals and Tiny Tabs & Tags dies, from Essential Range.

Here is the card that I created:

 

 
 

How to make:

1- Cut a stripe of pink cardstock of 15x20 cm. Fold the paper in half to make your card blank.

2- Cover the front with a patterned paper flowers.

3- Cut a strip of patterned paper brown, then adhere in the bottom and spray the white color.

4- Fold a paper cup cupcake and apply in the center of card.

5- Cut out a tag using the Die - Tiny Tabs & Tags. Let a few drops of color ink. Apply the washi tape. Add some twine and glue the tag to the right. Roll end of twine and use the stapler to attach.

6- Cut out a little flower with Framelits and apply to the tag.

7- Use the Bigz die (656640) to cut out three flowers from pink cardstock and one similar flower with Decorative Strip Die. Start with the smallest and work backwards. Paint the center of flower with color ink. Apply the fabric button. Shape the petals.

8- Cut a banner edge to a white cardstock strip, then stamp (or print) the sentiment. Adhere the sentiment strip in the seam, to the right. Apply above the flower.

9- Accent the card with some sequins.

Ciao, sono Anna e sono qui per condividere alcune idee utilizzando i prodotti Sizzix.

Spero stiate bene e che abbiate avuto una splendida settimana.

Oggi condivido con voi la mia ultima card, dallo stile e dai colori romantici e con un bellissimo fiore margherita, che accompagna meglio gli auguri. Per questa card ho usato le fustelle Tattered Florals e Tiny Tabs & Tags, che fanno parte della collezione Essential Range.

Vediamo come ho realizzato la card...

Procedimento:

1-Tagliare una striscia di cartoncino rosa, piegare il foglio a metà per avere il vostro biglietto base.

2- Coprire il fronte del biglietto con un rettangolo di carta a fiori.

3- Tagliare una striscia di carta fantasia marrone, incollare nella parte bassa della card e spruzzare un po' di colore bianco.

4- Piegare un pirottino di carta a metà e applicarlo al centro.

5- Tagliare una tag. Lasciar cadere qualche goccia di inchiostro. Applicare il washi tape. Aggiungere un po' di cordoncino e incollare la tag a destra del pirottino. Arrotolare la fine del cordoncino ed usare la pinzatrice per fissare.

6- Tagliare un fiorellino con i Framelits e incollare sulla tag.

7- Utilizzare la fustella Bigz (656640) per tagliare tre fiori dal cartoncino rosa e un fiore di forma simile usando la striscia decorativa coordinata. Quindi sovrapporre i fiori, iniziando con il più piccolo e lavorando a ritroso. Dare dei tocchi col pennello intinto nell'inchiostro ciliegia soprattutto al centro del fiore. Applicare il bottone di stoffa. Modellare i petali.

8- Tagliare a “becco di civetta” una striscia di cartoncino bianco, quindi timbrare (o stampare) l'augurio. Incollare la striscia sopra la giuntura tra le carte. Applicare sopra il fiore.

Summer Easel Card Owl

Hello! It's Anna here to share some ideas using Sizzix products.

Happy Friday! So are you melting? Week's weather was hot hot hot!!!

Here's a fun easel card I made with Big Shot Plus machine and Owl die from Essentials Range collection. I've never made an easel card before and it couldn't have been easier!

I think he turned out pretty cute :)

I love how the branch holds the owl upright.

Ciao, sono Anna e sono qui per condividere alcune idee utilizzando i prodotti Sizzix.

Buon Venerdì! Come va con questo caldo, vi state sciogliendo? Forse in alcune zone d'Europa sta migliorando. Cerchiamo di distrarci un po' con lo scrap... che è meglio!

Ecco una card molto divertente da realizzare. Si tratta di una easel card.

Molti conosceranno già questo tipo di struttura, ma per chi ignora cosa sia, posso solo dire che in italiano significa "cavalletto", forse perchè assomiglia ad un cavalletto da pittore, chi lo sa!

Per realizzare la card ho usato la Big Shot Plus e la fustella Gufo, che fa parte della collezione Essentials Range, che altro non è che una raccolta di fustelle “essenziali” e che penso molte di voi avrete già in casa. Anche tutte le altre fustelle usate per questo progetto (Framelits) sono della stessa collezione.

Ho scelto il gufo, giusto per non fare la solita forma rettangolare. Non avevo mai creato un biglietto con questa struttura fin'ora, ma devo ammettere che non avrebbe potuto essere più facile!

Cosa dite, la civettina è carina? :)

Mi piace come il ramo tiene la civetta in posizione. E' inutile che mi perda in ulteriori chiacchiere...

Summer Mini album using Big Shot Plus Starter Kit

Hi everyone, it’s Anna here today, sharing a layout Sizzix.

I adore the new Sizzix Big Shot Plus starter Kit! Not only can you use these for box, layout, cards, but I’m going to show you how to use this kit to create a cute mini album.

 

 

 

I have started from two A4 sheets. I used the Big Shot Plus and the box die, included on the Starter Kit, two cut out two shapes from white cardstock.

 

 

Then, I cutted the unwanted areas and I combined the two shapes, as seen.

And once I had the album base created, the fun starts! I created the "hello" with Craft Asylum die and some embellishments with other dies from Starter Kit.

A simple and fast way to realize a nice mini album!

Ciao a tutti, sono Anna e sono qui oggi per condividere un nuovo progetto creato con i prodotti Sizzix.

Il nuovo Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit mi piace tantissimo, non lo posso negare! La macchina e le fustelle incluse, non sono solo utili per creare scatoline, tag, biglietti, ma vi mostrerò come utilizzare questo kit anche per creare un mini album scrap davvero tascabile, da tenere in borsa, ma anche adatto per essere regalato.

 

Procedimento:

- Sono partita da due fogli di cartoncino ritagliati in formato A4. Ho usato la Big Shot Plus e la fustella “scatola”, inclusa nello Starter Kit, per tagliare due sagome dal cartoncino bianco (senza la parte del coperchio).

- Poi, ho tagliato le parti che non mi servivano (linguette ecc) ed ho unito le due forme, come si può vedere dalle foto.

- Una volta creato la base del mini album, comincia il divertimento! Ho creato la scritta interna con la fustella Craft Asylum ed alcuni abbellimenti con altre fustelle dello Starter Kit.

- Un po' di cordoncino tiene chiuso l'album, quando viene ripiegato e lo rende tascabile.

Ecco dunque un modo semplice e veloce per realizzare un mini album scrap.

Owl and Fox card

Hello everyone, It's Anna posting today.

I love looking at my dies and trying to figure out different and unique ways to use them.

If you know me then you know I love most things that are animal related but when it involves owls and foxes my interest is really peaked! :D

I created this cards for kids birthday for charity, using more Sizzix dies design by Craft Asylum. These dies are so easy to put together and when you adhere one to the card it’s adorable!

This cute little owl makes me so happy. I sure hope he makes the card recipient happy, too!

The sentiment “buon compleanno” in Italian is “happy birthday”.

 

 

l think he/she is so cute and a perfect companion for my Woodgrain background.

The card front has a hole and you can see the inside owl. I die cut a circle using Framelits to make the hole.

 

 

How cute is this little fox in the tree?!

 

 

The fox is peeking through a hole in an oak tree to ask “Who goes there?”

The owl or fox inside is a bit of a surprise when you open it!

Buongiorno a tutti, sono Anna e come ogni venerdì tocca a me proporvi un'ispirazione con i materiali Sizzix.

Chi mi conosce sa che mi piacciono molto i teneri gufi, ma anche le volpi non sono da meno! Per cui quando si è trattato di creare delle card di compleanno per donare un sorriso a dei bambini, ho pensato subito alle fustelle Sizzix disegnate da Craft Asylum, perchè riescono subito a dare un tocco simpatico e dolce a qualsiasi biglietto.

Lui o meglio lei, visto che è una civetta, è così carina e si sposa perfettamente con lo sfondo effetto legno. Il fronte della card ha un buco da cui spunta la civetta, che è invece posizionata all'interno, proprio per simulare il tronco di un grosso albero. Per il foro, ho tagliato un cerchio usando i Framelits.

Per dare rilievo alle sagome ho tagliato anche una base dal cartoncino nero.

Anche la volpe è molto simpatica! Ed anch'essa fa capolino attraverso il buco dell'albero. Questa card l'ho pensata per un maschietto, quindi niente colore rosa :D

Il gufo e la volpe posizionati all'interno sono, così, una piccola “sorpresa” quando si apre il biglietto.

Questi piccoli animaletti mi mettono subito allegria, per cui spero tanto che possano regalare un sorriso ai piccoli destinatari :)
