Scrapbooking Layout: Nice Memories

Hi everyone, it’s Anna here today, sharing a layout with Sizzix item.

I love the new Sizzix Big Shot Plus starter Kit! Not only can you use these for box, tag, cards, but I’m going to show you how to use this kit into a dimensional embellishment for your layouts. In particular the big Textured impressions folder is ideal to create yourself your background pages!

 

 

I chose my favourite "scrap" canvas which is A4 size and perfectly matching the Sizzix Big Shot Plus machine.

 

 

I didn't use a patterned paper for the background, but I chose a white paper and I added a touch of yellow color thanks to a stamp.

My very first step was to emboss the stripe paper. I used the A4 Embossing Folder. I used also a strip of Craft Asylum patterned paper included in the Starter Kit.

With my Big Shot Plus I cut some nice shapes with dies: sprig and decorative strip scallop.

I added other small embellishments and title.

A simple and fast way to realize a pretty page of scrapbooking.

Ciao a tutti, sono Anna e sono qui oggi per condividere un layout creato con i prodotti Sizzix.

Il nuovo Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit mi piace tantissimo! La macchina e le fustelle incluse, non sono solo utili per creare scatoline, tag, biglietti, ma vi mostrerò come utilizzare questo kit anche per creare un abbellimento per le pagine scrap. In particolare la grande la mascherina per embossing è ciò che ci vuole per creare lo sfondo per le proprie pagine!

Ho scelto il mio formato "scrap" preferito del momento, che è l'A4 e manco a farlo apposta, corrisponde perfettamente alla nuova macchina Big Shot Plus.

Non ho usato una carta fantasia per lo sfondo, ma ho scelto un cartoncino bianco a cui ho aggiunto solo un tocco di colore giallo grazie ad un timbro, dove ho deciso di posizionare la foto.

Il primo passo è stato quello di embossare una striscia di carta bianca e per fare questo ho usato la mascherina formato A4. Ho anche usato una striscia di carta fantasia Craft Asylum, sempre inclusa nello Starter Kit.

Con la mia Big Shot Plus ho tagliato poi alcune forme con le fustelle: rametto, etichetta e striscia decorativa scallop.

Ho aggiunto poi sotto alla foto una bustina di carta dove ho inserito una tag per il journaling. Ho posizionato altri piccoli abbellimenti e tag qua e là. Per finire ho composto il titolo con gli adesivi.

 

Ecco dunque un modo semplice e veloce per realizzare una graziosa pagina scrap.

Beautiful fake gold engraved notebook

Hi everybody!

I wanted a notebook with gold engraved texture ... In recent months, I only see gold on kraft, and I love it! But I want a handmade one, my own fake gold engraved notebook

I bought a notebook with kraft cardboard covers, take my Craft Asylum embossing folder (Botany Decoration) and a few more elements (a gold acrylic marker, Archival ink, and a nice stamp), and in a very easy way I could make my exclusive gold and kraft plain notebook.

Hola a todo el mundo!

Yo quería un cuaderno grabado en oro ... En los últimos meses, sólo veo dorado sobre kraft, y me encanta! Pero quiero uno hecho a mano, mi propio cuaderno de falso grabado en oro.

Compré un cuaderno con tapas de cartón kraft, cogí mi carpeta de repujado de Craft Asylum (Botány Decoratión) y algunos elementos más (un rotulador acrílico, tinta Archival y un bonito sello), y de una manera muy fácil he podido hacer mi exclusivo cuaderno de oro grabado en kraft.

Mas arriba tienes un tutorial paso a paso y algunos detalles de mi hermoso cuaderno.

Lo llevo conmigo a todas partes y todo el que lo ve se sorprende con lo bonito que es! Seguro que quieres hacer uno para ti!

where I mixed a few Sizzix awesome dies and
a cute embossing folder by Brenda Walton.

I love the Embossing Folder Roses and I wanted to

use it for decoration on my layout. And because the size 

didn't fit on my design I decided to do the following:

1. I embossed twice the Roses on white cardstock.

2. After that I cut out only the roses - a pair of roses and a rose

3. Then I used chalk ink to distress them. 

N.B. By mixing yellow and blue you get a "bonus" colour - green :-)

The Corners Flourish #2  and  Floral w/Leaves were die cut

from pattern paper and used on the layout.

The die-cut flourish/swirls were cut in pieces so

they can "fit" on different spots on the layout.

One of favourite thinlits flowers from the Starter Kit.

Simply die cut from white cardstock and mix with any flower - 

the effect is so beautiful and adorable.

A picnic day in a frame box

Hi everybody!

I love when a fantastic day happens, choose one of the photos that I've taken and do a scrapbooking project to not forget. This time a picnic in a French vineyard was a great day!

I wanted that photography has a main place at home; a Frame Box (from Antique Wood by Alberto Juarez) would give me the perfect support for my Layout.

The colors I chose for this project were yellow and blue; the landscape was full of broom plant (Genisteae, I love this plant when is flowering) with a brillant yellow that stood out against the blue sky.

Hola a todo el mundo!

Me encanta cuando tenemos un día fantástico, elegir una de las fotos que he hecho y hacer un proyecto de scrapbooking para no olvidarlo. Esta vez un picnic en un viñedo francés fue el gran día!

Yo quería que la fotografía ocupara un lugar principal en casa; un Frame Box (de Antique Wood by Alberto Juárez) me daría el soporte perfecto para mi Layout.

Los colores que elegí para este proyecto fueron el amarillo y el azul; el paisaje estaba lleno de retama (Genisteae, me encanta esta planta cuando florece) con un amarillo brillante que destacaba contra el cielo azul.

Little animal!

Leo is a little animal! He is the eldest son (almost five) of one of my best friends and since he was born I have called him 'Leo the lion'. when we meet, rather than exchange pleasantries we both bare our claws and growl at each other which is swiftly followed by a fight to the death (I always lose).

For his birthday this year I have bought him a lion watch but what I really needed was something cool to wrap it in which brings me neatly to this weeks blog post.

As you are all probably aware by new Sizzix have unveiled the Big Shot Plus which is the same as your beloved Big Shot but in A4 format. You can use all your existing library of Sizzix dies but now you can also use larger format dies and embossing folders. 

It also comes as a starter kit which has everything you could ever wish for to set you on your creative journey including a fabulous Thinlits box die and I know that there will be many more box dies released in the near future.

For my project I needed to cut two cream coloured boxes from a good heavy weight card, I know that the illustration below shows a box cut from kraft card but I used this because it photographs better! As you can see, the die both cuts and creases the box which is all one piece with a hinged lid....Ingenious!!!

I took one of the cream boxes and added some Distress Ink in a random fashion (Tea Dye and Wild Honey). I flipped the box over and labelled the parts before cutting it up along the crease lines using a craft knife.

I started with the top of the box which I cut into 3 separate strips. Next I placed them into the new wood grain folder designed by Doodlebug and debossed the wood grain texture.

I darkened the edges of each strip slightly using Vintage Photo Distress Ink and applied a rubber stamp which comes from a set called Sentiment Circles by Autumn Leaves. I attached the three strips to the top of the other assembled cream box. Next, I applied the same treatment to the front and sides of the lid before working my way around the whole box.

After popping the watch into the box on a bed of paper straw I applied the finishing touches. Firstly a length of chain from a piece of old costume jewellery wrapped twice around the box to secure the lid. Secondly, a mini padlock charm and finally a tiny tag printed with my PC. I love the overall effect and I hope both you and Leo do too?

Maybe you have already guessed (by the title!) that my
blog post today is dedicated to my mom. Living far away from
my mom is not only hard for me but also hard for my mom.
That's why I love sending her photos - and of course, some of
the photos are scrapped like this one today.
Perfect present for Mother's Day!

perfectly matching the Sizzix Big Shot Plus machine.

My very first step was to emboss the background paper.

I used the A4 Embossing Folder included in the Starter Kit.

The die-cut letter "a" was adhered underneath an epoxy sticker.

I die cut a few times both of these Decorative Bubbles 

using different papers. Then I began mixing them and 

creating embellishments for my photo.

The big flower was created by using both sizes Bigz Die flowers included 

in the Starter Kit - I die cut them so many times until the flower looked "full".

For the centre I hand made the rose by using one of the old dies (558504 Rose 3D)

I added a bit of Stickles.

Sweet Wishes card

Hi Sizzix friends!

On this festive Friday I have prepared a pair of  clean and simple cards. I like to use two cardstocks in the same colour one as a background and the other one with embossment.  It gives an elegant result.

To make these beautiful cards I have used the following supplies:

My Big Shot machine, the borders embossing folder, Bigz die Heartfelt , white cardstock, 

flowered washi tape, the sentiment and brads.

I have covered a little piece of white cardstock with the washi tape.

I have die-cut this heart.

I have embossed a white cardstock which is 0,5 cm smaller than the 

card size. I really love this embossing folder !!!

Now I have all the pieces to make my card, I've chosen the colour of 

the brads to match the washi tape.

And finally this is the result:

¡Hola a todos!

Para este viernes festivo he preparado unas tarjetas muy clean and simple. Me gusta mucho utilizar dos cartulinas del mismo color una lisa como fondo y otra repujada. Le da un toque elegante al trabajo.

Para realizar estas bonitas tarjetas he utilizado los siguientes materiales:

Mi Big Shot machine,  la carpeta de embossing borders, Bigz die Heartfelt , cartulina blanca, washi tape de flores, el mensaje y encuadernadores mini.

Primer he cubierto una cartulina blana con el washi tape, después lo he troquelado con forma de corazón. He realizado el repujado en otra cartulina blanca 5 mm más pequeña que la tarjeta (me encanta esta carpeta) . Ahora ya tenemos todas las piezas para montar nuestra tarjeta. 

Finalmente este es el resultado. He realizado la misma tarjeta con otra gama de color.
