A lot of Hearts

Hi Everyone!
I'm Anna, from Middle Italy. I'm the author of the blog Cafe Creativo.
I started sewing and scrapbooking as a form of therapy and it has blossomed into a full blown addiction. Through these hobbies I've met some of the most wonderful people and I had amazing opportunities to inspire others. It's truly been a gift!
This is my first post here on Sizzix blog! I'm more than excited to share my projects and ideas.
I am working hard trying to learn English, sorry ;)
Let me introduce myself with a collage of some of my works:

I am here today to share what's my first project: the theme is Valentine’s Day… I thought about unconventional colors! Love this color combination!
Here is my project: I made a card and a gift bag to go with it. I packaged some chocolates in little wax paper bag.

Flag_of_Italy Per le amiche italiane! :)
Ciao a tutti!

Sizzix Big shot machine (655268)
Sizzix Bigz Die - Tiny Tabs & Tags (657188)
Sizzix Bigz die – Hearts (656334)
cartoncino bianco
carta fantasia turchese
cartoncino glitter rosa
avanzi di carte varie
carta velina color vaniglia
cordoncino bicolore (rosa e bianco)
centrini di carta
colore spray o acrilico diluito
paillettes
biadesivo spessorato, colla

Procedimento:

Sizzix Big shot machine (655268)
Sizzix Bigz die – Hearts (656334)
Sizzix Framelits Die Set 6PK – Squares (657565)
sacchetto in carta oleata (tipo quelli per alimenti)
cartoncino glitter rosa
pizzo o nastro turchese/verde acqua
una striscia di carte fantasia rosa
pagina di vecchio libro
cordoncino bicolore (rosa e bianco)
centrino di carta
mollettina di legno
colla
Procedimento:

Last minute ideas for Christmas bags and tags!

Hi again Sizzix fans!
It is almost Christmas and we all are very busy preparing everything for this special day. In between the cooking, shopping , decorating, cleaning and other important pre-Christmas activities it is good to find some time to create some handmade Christmas gift wrappings and tags, right? I was very busy today making tags, altering a box and bags for the smallest gifts for my family - and I have a short photostory for you! Here it goes!

Starring:
- Sizzix dies: Sizzix Framelits Die Set 3PK - Frame, Snowflake (657906), Sizzix Movers & Shapers L Die - Pillow Box w/Labels (658268), Sizzix Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die - Scallop Eyelet Lace (658003), Sizzix Sizzlits Die - Card, Scallop Circle Insert (657996), Sizzix Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die - Mini Snowflake Rosettes (2 Sizes) (658255)
- Papers - 7 Dots Studio - "Domestic Goddess" collection
- Inks and Pearls: Ranger Distress Inks and Liquid Pearls
- others: hot glue, craft glue, doilies, white paper, Tim Holtz stickers, pebbles.

The story begins on one winter's day. I realized I need to get some packaging for the gifts - and I need it fast! So, I grabbed some papers and my favorite winter-themed dies...

The work was fast and furious, but the final effect was quite pleasing - and it was so easy to do!
Finally I had may bags, box and tag ready!

And here is the final photo - all of them together, waiting to be put under the Christmas tree!

I hope I gave you some last minute inspiration - see you soon!
Merry Christmas form cold, frosty Poland!

  3. With the hot gun glue adhere the snowflake to the bag. add a pearl in the centre.
  4. Stamp and emboss the "have a jolly holiday" but this time cut only the phrase with the circle framelits.

Simple embossed gift box

Happy Wednesday everyone,

This week I wanted to share with you an easy gift box you will make very quickly. We are now entering the ‘gift giving season’ so you may even want to have some boxes in stock :)

Even though there are a lot of gift box templates available in web I decided draw my own pattern. I wanted to embellish the box with embossed images so the rectangle part in the middle has the height of an embossing folder. The curved top and bottom I draw using a dessert plate as my template. Simple and easy!

 Here’s a list of materials I used:
For the black box I used a 20.5 cm x 26 cm rectangle piece of basic black cardstock. I scored and folded the sides (at 2 cm and 14 cm), and trimmed the curved top and bottom edges using my pre-cut box template as cutting pattern. Then I used a stylus for scoring the curved lid folds – a round dessert plate was a prefect template for the curved line.

For the box front and back I cut two rectangles from white cardstock, sized slightly smaller than the box width. I die-cut an opening on one of the rectangles and embossed them with Bohemian Lace embossing folder. I inked the white embossed panels with purple stamping ink and glued down on the box front and back. I finished the box with stamping a sentiment text with white ink and decorated it with a paper flower and folded leafs.

For the grey gift box I used the same box template, but instead of embellishing it with an embossed panel I placed the box inside an embossing folder and run through my Big Shot. I wanted to highlight the embossed images a bit, so I inked them gently with light stamping ink. As final step I attached two strips of red satin ribbon on top and bottom of the embossed image. Done!

I hope this will inspire you to make your own gift box variations of this simple pattern.

Have a nice week!

Love,

Lia's Birthday party

Hello everyone!

Lately, my mom, cousin and I have been working on special gifts/invitations for Lia's first birthday and we came up with that cute bunch of creations to decorate the table and add a very girly touch to the party.

We simply used :

A big Shot

Sizzix ScoreBoards XL Die - Candy Jars

Sizzix ScoreBoards XL Die - Box w/Lid, Cake Slice

It was SO easy and fast to create 20 of those with the Bigz dies as you can use up to 3 pieces of paper at once!

Simply place your paper(s) on the dies, run if through the Big Shot, fold everything that needs to be folded and glue!

Then you can embellish the way you want :)

I used Kesiart papers for the invitations & gifts, a tiny bit of twine, a few stickers and wood veneer embellishments and voilà!

Easy and fast and just so gorgeous!
Enjoy!
