Inspired by music - little tag in whites and greens

Hi, it's great to see you here again! I hope you have a great creative summer (or winter - depending when you are at the moment!). I'm still on my way, but ready to share another tag project - this time inspired by music!
When I create something that will be given to my family or friends I try to make it as personal as possible to show my love and interest. The tag below would be just perfect for somebody who loves music - especially classical music, right? And creating it was fun and easy!

All you need to have is a tag base (I used standard manila tag), some lace and crochet doilies, vintage looking paper, a bit of crystals and an epoxy sticker. When you layer the elements, add some dimension and beautiful cut-out details the whole project is ready in minutes!

Here is the list of Sizzix dies which were used to create this tag:
- 659109 - Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 3PK - For the Record 2, Documented
- 658947 - Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 2PK - Doily & Doily Border

All the papers I used are new, coming release of my products with Prima Marketing - Vintage Vanity A4 Journaling pad. Tag was finished using a bit of Ranger Distress Inks. For sticking the elements and dimension I used products from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: 3D Foam Squares and Crafty Power Tape.

Have a great weekend - and see you soon!

Shabby, dimensional tag - with Sizzix Thinlits and Framelits

Hi, It's great to see you here again!
How about a small but nice project today? I have to admit that cards are not my favorite projects - I think I'm far better at other things such as layouts, journal pages or ...tags:) And today I'm willing to share one of my new tags with you - I hope you will enjoy!

I really like the tag shape - and with Sizzix Framelits you can cut out tags of all sizes you need without a problem. Yo don't have any manila tags left? Just cut out a tag shape from thick white cardstock or watercolor paper and play! That's how my grungy-shabby gift tag came to life too!

As you can see - I used the Framelits set of tag dies not only to create a base, but also patterned papers which I layered on the base to create dimensional composition. Other cut-out elements were doilies and a circle. I inked all of the paper elements on the edges with Stormy Sky and Walnut Stain Distress Ink and layered one on another using 3D Foam Squares. The final touches were some paper flowers, metal embellishments, thread and Liquid Pearls.

Here is the full list of the dies used for this tag:
- 658611 - Sizzix Framelits Die Set 9PK - Tags #2
- 659109 - Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 3PK - For the Record 2, Documented

All the papers I used are new, coming releases of my products with Prima Marketing -  Vintage Vanity A4 Journaling pad. Metal embellishments are my Mechanicals and Junkyard Findings, flowers are small roses - all from Prima.  It was finished using a bit of Ranger Distress Inks and Liquid Pearls.  For sticking the elements and dimension I used products from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: 3D Foam Squares and Crafty Power Tape.

I wish you all a beautiful weekend!
hugs

Gift Tag

Hi all!

Today I would like to show you a gift tag.

1. Cut a tag from cardstock. Cut washer border from any cardstock. Use this border as a stencil with green spray. Then use yellow spray.

2. Cut Card Edges and glue them onto the tag. Also glue decorative tape, laces, grid, resist canvas, flowers and etc.

3. Use spray to make your tag organic whole. I used green, yellow and blue sprays. Take acrylic paints and smeared finger some of your elements. Your tag is ready.

Have a nice day

Gift tag in vintage style

Happy Wednesday everyone,

When browsing through paper crafting blogs I have come across many gorgeous and outstanding gift tags with rich embellishing and carefully selected elements. For a 12” x 12” scrapbooker like me working on a small 8 cm x 15 cm gift tag feels sometimes a bit tricky. And I have to admit that I have not made too many gift tags even though that I’m a big fan of those talented gift tag makers.

However, as my favourite quote by Tom Krause says: “If you only do what you know you can do - you never do very much.” I thought it was time to challenge myself a bit and make a gift tag in vintage style. This is what I came up with:

Items used:
How to make:
I started with cutting a tag shape from white cardstock. My measurements were 8 cm x 14 cm but sure the tag could be smaller or larger. I trimmed the upper edges, and embossed the upper part using Beatnik Bouquet embossing folder. I wanted to highlight the beautiful pattern so I wiped the embossed image gently with brown and olive green stamping ink.

Then I covered the bottom part with patterned paper (inked the edges before attaching to the tag) and wrapped a piece of brown velvet ribbon and a piece of cotton lace around the tag. I used thin two-sided tape for holding them in place and secured the ends on the backside of the tag.
The text was stamped on a white die-cut label (second largest die in the set) I cut in half and inked with brown Distress. I mat it on another label (largest die in the set) and glued on the tag. Before finishing the front side I covered the backside with patterned paper and inked the edges. I punched two small circles of brown cardstock, glued them on the top of the tag (front and back), and punched a hole in the middle.

As embellishments I used paper flowers and small beads I glued on the tag with Glossy Accents.  Leafs underneath the flowers are hand-cut from folded paper.

I had a lot of fun making this tag and I'm sure it will not be my last one. I hope this will inspire you to make one yourself!

Have a nice week.
Love,

Quick Tags

There are so many possibilities for using your Sizzix dies! A while back, I designed a collection of dies called Fresh Vintage. I keep going back to them over and over because I love anything flower related.

Here I used the Flowers, Layers #9 and the Fringed Flower to make a fun gift tag.

It's so easy! Take a piece of paper twice the width of the flower you want to cut and fold in half. Position the paper just inside the cutting lines and run through the Big Shot.

Distress the edges with a brown stamp pad. Cut some Leaves from fabric for interest and adhere under the flower. Mix and match flower layers and add a brad to the center. Fluff the petals up. Punch a hole and add mini rickrack to tie it on to your bag. That's it!
Supplies used:
Flower, Layers #9
Flower, 3D Fringed
Leaves

I'd love to know what you do with your flower dies?

Thanks for stopping by!
