"Hello" Cards by Gerry van Gent

Happy Sunday Sizzix friends!
For my post today I created two cards which
are perfect for a new-born baby boy/girl.
I called my cards -  "delivery bag cards"
because of the small "handle" I added on top :-)

For the bag handle I use one of the Decorative Bubbles .
Firstly, I die cut the bubble with the hearts.
After that I separated the circle into two parts.

I used the trim of hearts to decorate the handle.

New Baby Card - It's A Boy!

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you all have a crafty day ahead.

Lots of my friends are having babies or expecting lately, so I thought I'd make some quick and simple cards to get ready for the new arrivals!

Sizzix are kind enough to give us free downloadable papers, so I started with these New Baby papers and printed onto white card stock on my home printer. Of course there are girl papers available too.

Supplies needed:

I love the A4 embossing folders! I firstly cut two speech bubbles using the thinlits dies and then embossed them to give a textured effect. I used foam pads to attach them to the front of the card.

I used some alphabet stamps on the front of the card, but also on the inside for a congratulations message. I also added some star confetti - I love putting a little sprinkle inside the card!

So.....do we think the Royal Baby will be a boy?!!

I hope you liked this quick make today - happy crafting!

Circles, Circles & More Circles!

Hello,

What an incredibly fast two weeks this has been since I last posted!

I often get asked what is the one crafting item I couldn't be without...

Well of course there are a few but it got me thinking! What items do I use over and over and the answer has to be my Circle Framelits.  I use them ALL the time, probably EVERYDAY! They are the one thing I couldn't be without! I mean who can actually cut a circle without them???

So whilst coming up with my projects to share with you this week I decided to make use of the Circle Framelits a bit more and make a couple of simple but effective cards!

The first card is a New Baby card.  I have added the wording by using the Block Talk Bigz XL Die. Then simply cut various size cirlces and adhered them onto the card, some with 3D foam pads to give the card dimension.

The second card could be used for any occasion, although again it would make a lovely New Baby card.  This time i have layered the patterned circles onto White cardstock circles to give a fresh look.

The beauty of these circles - You can use them for any occasion, simply by changing the patterned papers and wording.  Great if you have lots to make.

Well, that is all from me today.

Have a lovely weekend.

Until next time ....

Happy Crafting!
