"Never Give Up" by Gerry van Gent

Happy Sunday friends!
Hope you are all doing well!

For my blog post today I am sharing a pillow box I created with
a coordinating quote card. It's one of those small, hand-made things you
can give to a friend for encouragement and to show you care.

After die cutting the Pillow Box I began decorating it by adding
different embellishments including die-cut flowers and flourish.

The coordinating card was cut to sizes fitting the pillow itself.

I added a pearl in the centers of the die-cut Intricate flowers.

As usual, I punched the butterfly multiple times and adhered
on top of one another in order to give more dimension.

Thank you for visiting us today!
Have a creative week ahead!

"You & Me = Selfie" by Gent van Gent

Hello Sizzix Friends!
Today I am sharing another layout which is part of our
Summer Vacation (2014) album. Love that selfie of hubby and I -
it has a special place in our family album :-)

For this layout I combined New & Old dies and of course I used one my
favourite paper punches by Sizzix - Butterfly, Large!
The colour combination is not the usual Summer colour combo -
it has to do with the country we were on vacation - Egypt :-)

"Hello" Cards by Gerry van Gent

Happy Sunday Sizzix friends!
For my post today I created two cards which
are perfect for a new-born baby boy/girl.
I called my cards -  "delivery bag cards"
because of the small "handle" I added on top :-)

For the bag handle I use one of the Decorative Bubbles .
Firstly, I die cut the bubble with the hearts.
After that I separated the circle into two parts.

I used the trim of hearts to decorate the handle.

I hope you enjoyed my cards today!

"Hello Baby Girl" By Gerry van Gent

Happy Sunday everyone!

Today I am sharing a cute project that I created for a new-born baby girl.
This time I decided to create something special instead of a traditional card.
I used the Free New Baby Paper Downloads and
I mixed some old and new Sizzix dies.

To create this project I used two different sizes wooden spools
which were my base to attach the die-cut filmstrips.
Filmstrips were die cut from dark brown cardstock and adhered
around the wooden spools. Then I treated a bit with gesso & ink.

I used one of the gorgeous butterfly dies included in the Sizzix Plus Starter Kit.
It was die cut from white cardstock and decorated with a mini paper rose.

Cute little hearts come from the Heart border (Decorative Trim #2).
I cut separately each heart and glued on the styrofoam.
2

Don't you just love that cute little bird from Free New Baby Paper Downloads?
3

"Hello" phrase was die cut twice - once from white cardstock and
once from the pattern paper.
4

From "Congratulations" phrase I made a banner by
cutting a small triangles at both ends.
I attached to filmstrip with foam squares for more dimension.

My project was adhered on a piece of styrofoam and
then adhered on a wooden tray.

Butterfly Frame... A Mothersday Gift...

Hello crafters out there,

just a few days and Mothers Day is here.
Time to think about the perfect present.

I love my mother... she brought up two lovely kids ;-)
and she is also a loving grandmother since one year.

So i made her a special "Grandmothers Day" present...
A butterfly frame with a picture of her grandson...

All you need is an embroidery frame and a photo,
a coloured pen, cardboard,
Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit #660515
Bigz L Die (Everyday Essentials) (comes together with the Starter Kit),
Thinlits Plus Die Set (Basic Shapes) (also with the Starter Kit).

First of all you need a lot of butterflies...

Don't throw away the pickings from the inside of the filigree butterflies (Thinlits Plus Die Set (Basic Shapes))  - some of them look like cute little hearts - we need them later.

Then i took the cardboard and cut out a background for the embroidery frame
and painted it white.

Now i arranged all the butterflies on - first the full ones, then the filigree ones...

Next i put the photo on... painted the small leftover hearts golden and spread them
on the frame...

finished.... i hope my mom will love it...

Material:
embroidery frame and a photo,
a coloured pen, cardboard,
Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit #660515

Thinlits Plus Die Set (Basic Shapes) (also with the Starter Kit)

Greetings, Stephanie

******

Hallo Ihr Bastler,

Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit #660515
