A little Kitten frame

Hi everybody! Elena here.

Today I want to share with you a home decor idea you can make with the beautiful Playful Kitten die by Deby Potter.

Supply list:

Normally I like to die cut this type of dies out of different colors of card, but in this case I have tried to color the design with Distress markers. I like how fresh it turned out, with this watercolor effect you can achieve with these markers.

After coloring it I have matted the design with black card and some colorful pattern papers and I have framed it all together. It is a perfect home decor piece for a child's room or in a young kitten lover's home.

I hope you like it!

Bows and boxes

I love bows for cards and gift giving! That is why I thought it would be great to have a set that had a both a box and a bow, the Fancy Lid!

I have used only a set of dies for this the Sizzix Thinlits Plus Die Set 13PK - Box w/Fancy Lid 660841. And the good news is that even though is a Plus die, all the elements will fit through the regular Big Shot.

This is the assembled box with the quadruple bow on top!
To make the box couldn't be simpler, die cut, fold the scored lines and glue the bottom tabs. For the cover, simply die cut, fold and attach the taps.

The bow has a few options:

And probably more!

To assemble the bows, simply die cut, fold to create two loops and glue them to the centre.

Then glue them to the die cut base.

Finally add one of the centres, either the dot or the band.

To create the quadruple bow, die cut all the elements. Assemble the loops, and then layer them one at at time.

Finally, simply attach to the assemble box.

I hope you like this project!

How to embellish a take away box for Christmas

Hello Sizzix Friends,
Silvia here!

The new Winter Wonderland dies are so amazing.
Have you already try them?!

Today another project using them.
I show you how to embellish a kraft cheap take away box using the Loving Bear die, so lovely!

You need:
Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 3PK - Loving Bear (660880)
Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 9PK - Layering Frames (660476)
Double-sided sticky foam pads
Double-sided sticky tape

Take a patterned rectangle or die cut a cardstock with a rectangle die.
Die cut the frame of Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 3PK - Loving Bear (660880) using a white cardstock first (to get the frame) and a patterned cardstock after (to get the oval).
Die cut the bear using Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 3PK - Loving Bear (660880) and a kraft cardstock.
Die cut a Christmas quote using a frame die from Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 9PK - Layering Frames (660476).

Paste the white frame and the polka dots oval on the rectangle using some pieces of double-sided sticky tape.
Paste the bear on the oval using three sticky pads.
Paste the Christmas quote above the bear using sticky pads as well.

Our Christmas decoration is done.
Now you are able to stick it on the take away box fixing some sticky pads on the rectangle back.

If you like you can had some ribbon or twine.
This box will be perfect to fill with sweet treats and give to friends and family.
I can't wait to be in December!

Enjoy your sunday!

Buongiorno amici creativi,

Ho usato:
Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 3PK - Loving Bear (660880)
Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 9PK - Layering Frames (660476)
Cuscinetti biadesivi
Nastro biadesivo
Cartoncini assortiti

Buona domenica!

Decorating A Planner

I am a bit of a planner nerd at heart and often find new planners to add to my collection. I recently received a spiral bound 'Life Planner' which was fairly blank on the front and back covers, with the exception of some gold lettering.

So I decided it needed the Sizzix treatment and made some pretty planner decorations for the cover!

The planner cover is made from a nice cardboard so it was easy to stick decorations to it with some PVA glue. I used a gold and peach colour theme and used some of the cut out shapes to decorate with too.

Items used include:

Scrapbooking Papers
PVA Glue

A quick and easy DIY to make the planner look a lot prettier. Customising a planner is a great way to put your own style on it too!

Happy planning!

"Carefree Holidays" Layout by gerry van gent

Happy Sunday Sizzix friends!

Hope you are all well and enjoying the weekend with your loved ones.
For my post today I prepared a layout where I am combining
fussy cut flowers with gorgeous Sizzix dies.

660515 Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit
660159 Sizzix Paper Punch Large Butterfly
660500 Sizzix Thinlits Die Set Intricate Tribal Florals
660220 Sizzix Thinlits Die Set Mixed Media
659573 Sizzix Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die Spring Greenery
*          *          *

Two of the butterflies have 4 layers of punched butterflies.

Instead of masking I used one of the Mixed Media dies to decorate the background.
I simply die cut it 4 times and adhered pieces behind the photos.

One small piece was used in the middle of the stamped circle.

Graphic 45 pattern papers
KaiserCraft pattern papers
The Scrapbook Diaries clear stamps
Glitz Design Giant rhinestone

Birthday Card

Hello there,

I hope you enjoy your weekend. Today I want to inspire you with the flowers Daisies from SIZZIX on a birthday card.

I think flower Dies you can never have enough. This one is so wonderful filigree.
I put it together with a brad or a eyelet. Both is really nice.

For this card I had used my Big Shot Plus, and the SIZZIX BigZ Flower, Daisies # 654981.

I put few leaves in the background and punched one of the branches out of vellum.
The sentiment is in german language. 'Viel Glück' means ' Good Luck'.

I hope you will like it.
Have a lovely weekend!

You make me happy with watercolors

Hey everyone,
today I have a card for you that I made with a lot of watercolors. I can´t get enough of my watercolors. I´m a graphic designer and part of my studies were illustration. And my personal favorite medium to create illustrations was watercolor. You see, every last word in my sentences is "watercolor". :D So, just have a look at my card. I really hope you like it.

Most of my projects including a lot of pink, but for this card I tried a little bit of more blue to get an other feeling for it. I love how it turned out with the pop of purple. Can you see it?

Here is my list of supplies I used:
Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit (White & Gray) #660515
Sizzix Accessory - Standard Magnetic Platform for Wafer-Thin Dies #656499

Metal foil flower on a box....

Hello there...

i love this cute box, that comes with the BigShot Plus Starter kit.
It is so cute and perfect for small gifts...

This time i decided to decorate the box with hearts and a metal foil flower.
I bought this foil a few years agobut i never did anything with it...

But it so perfect if you want to make flowers.
It is so easy to form.

For the flower i took Sizzix Bigz Die - Flower Layers & Leaf #2 and the
cute hearts were made with Sizzix Textured Impressions Embossing Folder - Candy Hearts

Have a great weekende, Stephanie

My big star - Layout

Hi Sizzix friends!

A new Friday again and  I want to show you a clean and simple layout I’ve made to remember the birthday of Ferran (my elder son). He celebrated his 11th OMG !!! Time past so fast and I love to capture his smile (for me is the most beautiful smile in the world... mum says).

To create this layout I’ve used the Fresh Blossom Alphabet designed by Stephanie Ackerman I like this alphabet !!!! The new A4 Field of Diamonds embossing folder, the Heartfelt die and a label die.

Here are more detailed images:

Two hearts and the label to start the title of my layout.

More heartfelts with some shiny ink drops, the diamonds embossment I like it!!!

Once I’ve die-cut the letters I’ve decorated them in blue with my watercolours and I’ve drawn the line.

And a piece of burlap!!! I love to use it in my family projects to make it warmer.

I have used the following Sizzix products:

I hope you have enjoyed this clean and simple layout.  Thanks for your visit!

Have a creative and happy Friday!
