Do you love vintage as much as I do? Then Sizzix offers you the perfect dies to create something that you love. Today I would like to show you a vintage-inspired tag that features a variety of beautiful Sizzix dies.

The tag itself was cut out of cardstock and black paper with the Movers & Shapers Tag & Bookplates Die. I attached another piece of paper on top of it. I adorned the corner of this paper with the harlequin die from the Tim Holtz Thinlits Mixed Media Dies set. After that, I cut out a halve postage stamp with the Tim Holtz Postage Stamp Frame die. I attached this on the right side of the tag. 

I also cut out a small tag with the Tim Holtz Thinlits Tags Collection and glued that down on top of the postage stamp frame. I further embellished my tag with two butterflies, which I punched out with the beautiful and brand new Paper Punch Butterfly Large. I also attached tiny hearts on top of them, which were cut out with the Bigz Heartfelt Die. In the end I added the title 'Love' as well. This title was made with the wonderful Tim Holtz Handwritten Love Thinlits Dies.

De tag zelf is uit cardstock en zwart papier gestanst met de Movers & Shapers Tag & Bookplates Die. Ik heb er een ander stuk papier opgeplakt. De hoek van dit papier heb ik versierd met het ruitjespatroon uit de Tim Holtz Thinlits Mixed Media Dies set. Daarna heb ik een halve postzegelvorm uitgestanst met de Tim Holtz Postage Stamp Frame stans. Ik heb deze rechts op mijn tag geplakt. 

Ik heb ook een kleine tag uitgestanst met de Tim Holtz Thinlits Tags Collection en heb deze op de postzegelvorm geplakt. Ik heb de tag verder versierd met twee vlinders, die zijn uitgeponst met de prachtige en gloednieuwe Paper Punch Butterfly Large. Op de vlinders heb ik kleine hartjes geplakt, die zijn uitgestanst met de Bigz Heartfelt Die. Uiteindelijk heb ik ook nog de titel 'Love' toegevoegd. Deze heb ik gemaakt met de Tim Holtz Handwritten Love Thinlits Dies.

I hope you all enjoy a sunny and relaxing Sunday!

Here, in the Netherlands, we are so lucky to have a good start

to the season - the sun is shining and it feels like a real Summer :-)

For my post today I would like to share two cards I created for my

daughter's best friends. On the last school day she wanted to give

them a small present with a card... and this is where I got involved ;-)

Cards Size: 12cm x 12cm

I placed the Spring Garden #3 die in the middle of the front

of the card and die cut it. After that I removed the excess leftover

cuts and attached back the Spring Garden #3 die to the window card.

I adhered a square pattern paper inside the card.

I decorated the die-cut flowers with sugar dots.

I used one of the Decorative Trim #2 dies by Craft Asylum 

to make a frame round the square.

For the letters I used one of the alphabet dies from our Essentials Range -

The  Wanted   alphabet by Tim Holtz.

Each letter was die cut twice -  from light/dark brown cardstock.

The dark die-cut letter I used as shadow.

I gave a "painted" look by using a white pen.

Hello Sizzix Peeps!

Did you have a great week so far? I hope so :-)

Well, I am an Instagram fan and I love posting photos there taken

with my phone. Some of the photos I take are really faves and worth

scrapping. Just like this photo of my kids - had to treasure up it on a layout.

For my blog post today I used the absolutely awesome Sizzix Big Shot Plus 

machine and some of the awesome dies included in the Starter Kit!

I began creating the layout by die cutting the scalloped tags - two of each size.

For the tags I used corrugated cardboard which I left "natural" ...

From the Decorative Trim #2 die set I used the hearts border....

I die cut it a few times and I outlined some of the hearts with white pen.

The beautiful flower die from the Starter Kit was die cut in total 6 times.

For each flower I used two different colors.

I wanted the background to be more playful so....

I cut separately some of the hearts from Decorative Trim #2

 and adhered them on the background.

I am so in love with the butterflies from the Starter Kit....

they are so intricate and pretty!

For my project I die cut the butterflies lots of times and 

I simply layered them - I prepared 3 "sets" of butterflies...

One of the layered butterflies was cut in the middle and used 

for decoration at both (left/right) edges.

Love Is All You Need

Hi Sizzix fans,

Welcome on the Sizzix blog on this sunny Tuesday! 

Today I would like to show you a love lay-out that I made with some beautiful Sizzix dies. Sizzix offers quite a lot of dies that are just perfect for love-themed projects, such as the lovely Heartfelt die and the beautiful 'Handwritten Love' dies from Tim Holtz. I used several of these dies to make this love project about my boyfriend Jeroen.

I first took the 'Mixed Media Set' to cut out two of these honeycomb patterns. The nice thing about these dies is that you can use both the pattern itself and the left-overs. So I decided to not only incorporate the honeycomb pattern, but also the left-over hexagons from this die. I added them on a few random places on my lay-out. 

My photo is layered on top of several different papers. I also used the Tim Holtz Postage Stamp Frame die to cut out two postage stamp borders to tuck among the papers. 

There was no better die to use for my title than the beautiful 'Handwritten Love' set from Tim Holtz. I cut out the word 'Love' twice from black paper and added these words below my photo. I also used the beautiful Heartfelt die, which is definitely one of my favourites from Sizzix, to cut out a few hearts. I incorporated two large hearts below my photo and several smaller hearts as well.

Welkom op het Sizzix blog vandaag!

Vandaag wil ik graag een liefdeslay-out laten zien die ik heb gemaakt met een aantal mooie Sizzix stansen. 

Sizzix heeft een aantal stansen die perfect zijn voor liefdesprojecten, zoals de mooie Bigz Heartfelt stans en de prachtige 'Handwritten Love' stansen van Tim Holtz. Ik heb een aantal van deze stansen gebruikt op dit liefdesproject over mijn vriend Jeroen. 

Ik heb eerst de 'Mixed Media Set' genomen om twee honingraat patronen uit te snijden. Het leuke aan deze stansen is dat je zowel het patroon zelf als de restjes kunt gebruiken. Ik besloot dan ook niet alleen het honingraatpatroon, maar ook de ruitjes in mijn lay-out te verwerken. 

Mijn foto is geplakt op een aantal laagjes papier. Ook gebruikte ik de Tim Holtz Postage Stamp Frame stans om twee postzegelranden uit te snijden, die ik tussen het papier heb verwerkt. 

Er was geen betere stans voor mijn titel dan de mooie 'Handwritten Love' set van Tim Holtz. Ik heb het woord 'Love' twee keer uit zwart papier gesneden en heb deze woorden onder mijn foto geplakt. Ook heb ik de Heartfelt stans gebruikt, één van mijn favorieten, om een paar hartjes uit te stansen. Op mijn lay-out heb ik twee grote harten en een aantal kleinere hartjes verwerkt.

Ik hoop dat jullie mijn project leuk vonden.

Hello Sizzix friends and happy Sunday!

Today I prepared for you a home decor frame

featuring two stunning NEW dies by Sizzix. This frame is super

easy to create and it makes it a great present for your....friends :-)

The size is 25 cm x 25 cm (approx. 9,9 inches x 9,9 inches)

The white background paper was treated with a few colors of spray paint and ink. 

N.B. The inner frame is 19 cm x 19 cm! 

Two different stamps were used here:

1. A text stamp so it will match my "Friends" title.

2. A flourish stamp to match the butterflies - Flowers & butterflies 

are always a perfect match .

The "friends" title was die-cut twice and adhered on top of each other.

I used black cardstock...and because I was missing a bit of "glam" I 

"painted" the letters by using a black "Sharpie" marker.

Love the "shiny" result!

Well, I simply love the new Butterflies Die by Tim Holtz. 

No wonder I made this home decor frame featuring these cuties.

I used 4 different pattern papers to die-cut them and then emboss them.

Did you know that the Butterfly Duo Bigz die comes with an 

Embossing folder so you get this amazing texture on these butterflies?

Once the butterflies were die cut and embossed I used sanding paper to distress them...

... after that I fussy cut four images so I can decorate the butterflies...

Hello Sizzix friends!

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend!

I am a bit late with my post today so I am sharing straight away

my project I created for you today! I used NEW dies and I love them.

I began layering the photo with two "old" dies which were matching

perfectly the new Scribbles & Splat dies with their round shape.

All  Splats were adhered on the background with foam tape to give more dimension.

Before die cutting the Splats I chose paper where I could use a beautiful pattern 

in the middle of the splat.

I wanted the heart be the shining "queen" on my layout....

I didn`t have to use any glitter ....

I simply chose red cardstock which made it pop perfectly!

...I fell in love with all the Handwritten words....

so cool and perfect touch to your project!

And before I finish my post for today I would love to share with you 

a few photos of my daughter who often comes to my studio and 

creates with me. This time she did't miss the chance to try the new

Sizzix dies I received and even created a layout using them :-)

She is having so much FUN....

....and wondering is this beautiful butterfly can fly.....

....and she is dreamy....

...and of course she organised mommy's NEW letter dies on a 

flexible magnetic sheet ... waiting for my approval ;-)

....and she did a great job....now the letters are so easy to use.....

which reminds me I have a project to share with you next Sunday!!!
