Two romantic Cards with Scallops & Eyelet Lace

Hey everybody,

hope you had a nice week so far? :) It was so rainy the last days her in Germany, so I had a lot of time in my craftroom. And this week I show you two cards that I made with scallops and eyelet lace.

Using the scallops and eyelet lace for cards is very easy and brings a romantic touch on it. Especially the eyelet lace. :) I added the borders with my sewing machine, to get a visual transition between the different colored and patterned papers.

The scallops are fitting perfectly to the pattern paper I choose. I think this is really pretty! :) Like a waterfall or something like that.

Hallo ihr Lieben,
wie war eure Woche? In Deutschland hat es die letzten Tage viel geregnet und da konnte ich einige Zeit in meinem kleinen Scrapreich verbringen. Gibt schlimmeres, oder? ;) Diese Woche habe ich zwei romantisch angehauchte Karten für euch, die ich mit zwei unterschiedlichen Bordüren gestaltet habe.

Weißer Cardstock, etwas gemustertes Papier und meine Nähmaschine

Wie erwähnt bekommt man durch diese Bordüren einen tollen romantischen Touch auf Karten & Co. Besonders mit der Bordüre die aussieht wie Spitze. Wundervoll! Mit der Nähmaschine habe ich dann die gemusterten Papiere und Bordüren miteinander verbunden. So entsteht visuell ein schöner Übergang zwischen den unterschiedlichen Papieren.

Die Bogenbordüre (nennt man das so?) mit den Wellen passte perfekt zu meinem ausgesuchten Pattern Paper. Finde ich mega hübsch, es wirkt wie ein Wasserfall der sich in einer fließenden Bewegung nach unten begiebt. Und zwischendurch, spritzen ein paar Wellen nach oben. ;)

Welche Projekte würdet ihr mit diesen Stanzen machen? Ich hoffe ich konnte euch ein bisschen inspirieren und wünsche euch noch ein wahnsinnig schönes Wochenende. Hier kommt gerade endlich die Sonne wieder raus. :) xo, Julia

Sweet pastel card

Hi Crafter!

Today I feel like so many fresh colors, to hang in the kids room.

I chose the tree and the butterfly because they also represent life.

The tree is the strength, the structure, while the butterfly is lightness and freedom.

I like it a card to stick on the showcase or rest on the library.

It gives a designer touch. Or….PAPER ART!

Ciao crafter!

Oggi avevo voglia di tanti colori freschi, da appendere nella kids room.

Ho scelto l'albero e la farfalla perché rappresentano anche un po' la vita.

L' albero è la solidità, la struttura, mentre la farfalla è leggerezza, libertà.

Mi piaceva fosse una card da attaccare in bacheca o poggiare sulla libreria.

Dà un tocco di design. Anzi…di PAPER ART!

Hello card and gift card folder

Hello everybody,

I offer you a small card in pastel colours and its gift card folder, in which you can slip some sweets.

The card is rather simply decorated with a hexagon die. It allowed me to cut hexagons in various papers, to create the bottom of my card. 

Then I put it down on a more contrasted striped paper.
I decorated with a ribbon and before tying it, I slipped inside a small charm.

For the pocket decoration, I played with coloured papers and the various sizes of the “Flowers” die.
I then added some brads in the flowers centers.

Bonjour à toutes et tous,

Je vous propose une petite carte aux couleurs pastels et sa petites pochette cadeaux, dans laquelle, on peut glisser des petites gourmandises.

La carte est décorée assez simplement avec le die hexagone, qui m'a permis de découper des hexagones dans différents papiers pour créer le fond de ma carte que j'ai ensuite maté sur un papier rayé plus contrasté.

J'ai décoré avec un ruban: avant de le nouer, j'y ai glissé une petite breloque. 

Pour la pochette, c'est le die Fleurs qui m'a permis de décorerai jouant avec les couleurs des papiers et les différentes tailles de découpe du die.

J'ai ensuite ajouté des brads au centres des fleurs.

Hello everybody and Happy Valentines Day

A big Hello to all of you!

My name is Julia, from Germany and I am so glad to be here. My first steps with scrapbooking I`ve made in January 2014. I have been affected by crafting from my family already when I was a child. Now as a graphic designer I am most of the time in front of a screen, so I really enjoy to create something with my hands by using different materials. However, it is ok when my hands get dirty, you know... ;)

Crafting with paper is not only a passion for me but also a way to express myself. I love to play with details and to lose myself totally in the projects I am working on. Furthermore, I really like new challenges as they are the best way to develope my scrapbooking style and to evolve myself. You can make so many things with a bunch of paper, some stamps and a lot of cute embellishments which you can all produce by yourself with die cutting.

My first contact with a Big Shot was at a friends house. And I can tell you, I really wanted my own one immediately! A few weeks later my husband gave me one as a gift and yes, now my beautiful Big Shot is continuously in action for my projects – not only with paper but also with felt and rubber foam.

I really love using handmade embellishments and Die Cuts for my crafty projects. It is a lot of fun to make your own embossed backgrounds with the Embossing Folders for greeting cards or for home decoration, too.

I am so happy to be part of the Creative Blogger Team from Sizzix UK now and I hope that I can inspire you with my weekly projects from now on. I see you next week on Saturday here again!

Hallo ihr Lieben,

ich freue mich dabei zu sein und mich euch nun vorstellen zu dürfen. Mein Name ist Julia, ich komme aus Deutschland (Neuwied bei Koblenz) und kam erst Anfang 2014 zum Scrapbooking.  Gebastelt und gestaltet habe ich schon immer gerne und bin dahingehend stark von meiner Familie geprägt. Als Grafikerin sitze ich viel vor dem Bildschirm, daher liebe ich es total etwas hübsches und kreatives mit den Händen zu machen. Und dabei dürfen meine Hände ruhig schmutzig werden. ;)

Scrapbooking ist für mich sehr schnell zu einer absoluten Leidenschaft geworden die mir eine Möglichkeit bietet mich auf eine besondere Art und Weise auszudrücken und zu verwirklichen: mit Papier, Stempeln und jede Menge anderen wundervollen Kleinigkeiten! Kurz nach dem ich mich näher mit Scrapbooking und der Vielzahl an Produkten beschäftigt hatte, kam ich auch schon mit der ersten Big Shot, bei einer Freundin, in Kontakt. Und was soll ich sagen? Ich musste unbedingt auch eine haben und als mein Mann mir dann wirklich eine schenkte, war es einfach um mich geschehen. :) 

Ich liebe es in meinen Projekten ausgestanzte Elemente zu verwenden oder besonders für Karten mit den Embossing Foldern tolle Hintergründe zu gestalten. Mit der Big Shot kann man einfach und schnell tolle Dinge zaubern, nicht nur aus Papier sondern auch aus Filz, Moosgummi & Co. Das sie bei mir quasi im Dauereinsatz ist, muss ich hoffentlich nicht zusätzlich erwähnen, oder? ;) 

Das ich nun zu dem tollen Team der Creative Blogger von Sizzix UK gehöre macht mich echt glücklich und ich freue mich euch nun wöchentlich – immer samstags – eine neue Inspiration liefern zu dürfen.

Hello card

Who is up for a simple card? A simple die cut heart and a sentiment makes for a quick one. 

I am loving the new Craft Asylum word dies Thinlits Die Set 3PK - Happiness Phrases 660804, specially the Hello. And of course the craft staple than is the Big Shot starter kit. 

I sprayed the background with two tone coloured mist and then layered on a yellow card.
I glued the patterned paper to chipboard and then die cut it using the Bigz die from the Big Shot starter kit.

I die cut twice the sentiment, once out of white card and of turquoise. Then I glue them with the white off set by a tiny bit to make it stand out more. I then added the crystals and the bow.

Hello friend - speech bubbles

 

 

I wanted to create a card with speech bubbles for today and I combined dies from Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 8PK - Basics and Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 6PK - I Heart This for this week's card.

 

 

I started by diecutting the larger speech bubble directly into a piece of white cardstock. I then added vellum behind the speech bubble on which I had stamped my sentiments.

 

I diecut two smaller speech bubbles and added them around the larger speech bubble. The final touch was a few enamel dots.

 Jeg ville lave et kort med talebobler, og derfor kombinerede jeg dies fra Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 8PK - Basics og Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 6PK - I Heart This til denne uges kort.

Jeg startede med at udstanse den store bobbel midt på et stykke hvidt karton. Derefter satte jeg et stykke vellum bagved udstansningen, hvorpå jeg havde stemplet min hilsen.

Slutteligt udstansede jeg to små talebobler, satte dem rundt om den store og pynede med et par enkelte enamel dots.

Hello-card

 

 

My stash of regular birthday and just because cards has dwindled to next to nothing so I need to start filling it up again. I also knew I wanted to try using Originals Die - Phrase, Hello #2 to diecut some felt I had lying around and that is how this week's card came about.

 

 

I went with a relatively simple design for the card adding a piece of bold striped paper and on that mounting my little cluster of sentiment and embellishments.

 

 

It was very easy to diecut the felt and the cut is as clean as a cut you normally see when diecutting paper. I decided to give this simple and quick card a little extra by handstitching along the inner lines of the heart.

 

 

 As you can see here the edges of the diecut sentiment is well-defined and straight.

Mit lager af fødselsdags- og bare-fordi-kort er ved at være godt slunkent, så jeg er nødt til at komme i sving med at fylde lageret op igen. Samtidig ville jeg også bruge Originals Die - Phrase, Hello #2 til at udstanse i noget filt, jeg har haft liggende.

 

Jeg valgte et meget enkelt design, hvor jeg brugte et stykke kækt mønstret papir, og så samlede jeg min tekst og min pynt nederst på kortet.

 

Det var virkelig nemt at stanse i filtet, og jeg fik det samme fine, skarpe snit, som man ser, når man udstanser i papir. Jeg besluttede mig for at give kortet lidt ekstra ved at håndsy langs inderkanten af filthjertet.

 

Som du kan se på det sidste billede, så står kanterne af det udstansede ord skarpe og veldefinerede.

I love Christmas dearly but right around now creating something non-Christmassy feels wonderful so I've made a bright cheerful card that can be send for any occasion.

 

 

I went with a bright colour palette, a bold patterned paper and a minimum of embellishment for this card. It almost makes me think of spring...

 

 

 

 

My main focus was a diecut hello (made with a die from Thinlits Die Set 7PK - You & Me) that I coloured in an ombre pattern using Inktense colour pencils. I diecut two extra words and glued under the one I'd coloured giving the word some dimension.

 

I used a die from Thinlits Die Set 10PK - Phrase Cards to cut a black cardstock rectangle on which I ground my sentiment and a few embellishments. I tied some baker's twine around the card before adding the black rectangle to the card.

Jeg holder meget af julen, men lige omkring på dette tidspunkt kan det være skønt at skabe noget, der overhoved ikke har noget med jul at gøre.

 

Til dette kort valgte jeg friske farver, et enkelt mønstret papir og nogle få detaljer, og resultatet er et kort, der nærmest minder mig om forår.

 

Fokus for kortet er et ord udstanset med en die fra Thinlits Die Set 7PK - You & Me. Jeg farvelagde ordet i en farveskala med Inktense farveblyanter, før jeg limede to udstansninger af samme ord under den farvelagte. Det giver ordet dimension.

 

Med en die fra Thinlits Die Set 10PK - Phrase Cards udstansede jeg en sort rektangel, som jeg brugte til at samle mine forskellige detaljer på. Inden jeg monterede det på kortet, bandt jeg lidt baker's twine omkring kortet.
