Cork Number Tags for Gift Wrap

 Hi friends!

Today we wrap original gifts using number tags cut into cork sheets and decorated with washi tape. It is an original idea for personalized gifts with the age of the celebrated, or year anniversary, etc.

You need:

Cut a square of the cork sheet about the size of our number die, and you decorate it as you like using washi tape. Cut the number with our Big Shot.

We can wrap the gift with a nice paper, take several turns of thread and fix the number with a small peg.

We may also use a paper bag and close it or placing the numbers on the edge with a peg

What do you think? From these basic ideas you can personalize your gifts in a thousand different ways, until next tutorial!

Ciao amici!

Hello Spring!

Hello there,

on SIZZIX' webpage you can download this wonderful design paper for free. Have a look here!

When I received the News, I was very excited. The Design is stunning and it is absolutely my personal taste.
I printed it out on textured Cardstock and it looked lovely.

I started with a card collection 'Thank you'. To use e.g. as a reply to an invitation I got.

I used some Dies out of the Big Shot Starter Kit Plus for Decoration. I add some Yarn and grey Cardstock for the Cards.
The SIZZIX Butterflies I sewed on the outer edge of the card:

I small Giftcard used as a tag for bottles.

I Hope you enjoy and I wish you a lovely weekend!
See you next week ;)

Embroidered Gift Tags

I adore gift wrapping! You can't beat pretty ribbons, tags and confetti!

I thought I'd share this simple embroidered gift tag as an idea you can customise for any pattern. You can even make monogram versions.

Supplies used:
  • Card stock
  • Embroidery thread
  • Embroidery needle
  • Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit
  • Tag die from starter kit
  • We R Memory Keepers Sew Easy piercer
  • Double sided sticky tape
I cut out the tags on kraft card stock so the stitching would really stand out in pastel colours.

Using a piercer I made a pattern to stitch - you could easily mark your own with a pencil and awl.

Using all six strands of thread, I stitched the patterns using a simple backstitch.

Using double sided sticky tape, I fixed another die cut tag to the back to cover the back of the stitching.

Add a contrasting ribbon, gift box and confetti and you've got yourself a custom handmade gift tag!

I love how simple this idea is and it uses one of my favourite crafts; stitching onto card or paper!

Have a great day and see you next time.

Bente's Week 2 post 'Gift wrap & Tags'.

Hi and welcome to my week 2 post using the gorgeous free papers that you can download from the Sizzix web page. There is a link at the end of my post :-)

This week here at Sizzix UK we are focusing on gift wrapping and making cute tags for the recipients. I have been busy doing some of that too, and here is the result:

I used some of my fave dies at the moment for my giftwrap and tags.
The 'Circles, scallop' finds it's way to most of my projects. And when I am thinking of a seasonal project the 'Winter Borders and Rosette' by the talented Paula Pascual is one of the first sets I look for.

As I said I used the free downloadable papers here and the snowflake on blue is one of the neat little labels on them. I love how it turned out after I used the scallopped circle to cut it out.

I used the snowflake-patterned strips as they are and added a single little white snowflake as well. For a different texture I also used a silvery chipboard snowflake. It is so much fun to use corrugated cardboard for giftwrapping as it will almost always turn out looking rustic and decorative. It is also such a great way to recycle something you would otherwise throw away. :-)

I used:
Free downloadable papers
657900 Sizzix Big Shot Machine Only (Powder Blue & Teal)
Sizzix Framelits Die Set 7PK - Circles, Scallop
Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 9PK - Winter Borders & Rosette

Thanks for looking today and as always thanks in advance for any comments you my leave me ;-)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jag använde:
Gratis nerladdningsbara papper
657900 Sizzix Big Shot Machine Only (Powder Blue & Teal)
Sizzix Framelits Die Set 7PK - Circles, Scallop
Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 9PK - Winter Borders & Rosette
