50th wedding anniversary card

Hi Sizzix friends!!!

Some days ago a couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. It’s an important milestone in their lives that they wanted to celebrate so I created a greeting card with an inside pocket for the present.

I’ve played with white and gold colour because in my country this anniversary is called “the gold wedding” and of course with lots of Sizzix dies !!!

It’s a big card sized 13,5 x 19,5 cm. To create it I’ve used the round circles Framelits, the leaves 660821 and 660822, Heartfelt and the Alphanumeric Thinlits. For the background I’ve used the embossing folder Plus Happy Texture.

Some pictures of the details with some explanations:

First I’ve die-cut the circle on the background white cardstock (that is 5mm smaller than the card size) creating a round hole on the cardstock and then I’ve made the embossment.

Then I’ve die-cut the round sparkly frame using two sizes of circle dies. The flowery paper is between the card and the white embossed cardstock.

I’ve die-cut two hearts in white cardstock and then I’ve repeated the same process that I’ve used for the frame to create the rings.

I’ve also die-cut a pair of leaves in white cardstock to give volume.

When you open the card there is a pocket that contains an envelope. To decorate the pocket I’ve die-cut the names of the couple in sparkly paper using the alphanumeric die.

Here are the envelope details:

I’ve die-cut this white heart and made the embossment so I can use it as the closure of the envelope.

I’ve created this envelope using vellum paper.

Here is the top view of the wedding card I’ve created for the celebration:

I have used the following Sizzix products:

Other supplies:
  • White cardstock
  • Scrapbooking paper
  • Sparkly paper
  • Vellum paper
  • Gold chipboard numbers
  • Gold string

I hope you have enjoyed this clean and simple wedding anniversary card and that it has given you a bit of inspiration. Thank you for your visit!

Have a creative and happy Friday!

He utilizado los siguientes productos Sizzix:

Otros materiales:
  • White cardstock
  • Scrapbooking paper
  • Sparkly paper
  • Vellum paper
  • Gold chipboard numbers
  • Gold string

Feliz y creativo viernes

Embellish a linen bag with a tag

Hello Sizzix Friends,
another sunday is here!
I love wrapping gifts up using linen bags.
They are so useful and I love decorating them in every way.
Today I want to show you how embellish them with a cardboard tag.

You need:
Linen bag
Sizzix Big Shot Plus Machine Only (White & Gray) (660020)
Sizzix Framelits Die Set 6PK - Hearts (657561)
Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 102PK - Alphanumeric (1" Tall) (660210)
Kraft Cardboard
Cardstock
Scissors
Tape
Hole punch
Crop-a-dile

My tips:

- Realize two hole in the tag instead of one.
In this way you will be able to close the linen bag with a cotton ribbon while fixing the tag on the bag.

- Create several tags with different wishes (love, laught, live, dream...)
Wrap some presents up using the tags and you guest will choose the package with its favourite wish.

Enjoy your sunday!

Buon pomeriggio a tutti!

Ho usato:
Sacchettino di stoffa
Sizzix Framelits Die Set 6PK - Hearts (657561)
Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 102PK - Alphanumeric (1" Tall) (660210)
Cartoncini
Nastro
Perforatrice
Crop-a-dile

I miei suggerimenti:

A domenica prossima!

Happy Birthday Mini Card

Hello Sizzix Friends!
Last week was my Daddy's birthday and I chose to make a birthday card for him.
I downloaded the Happy Birthday circles from Sizzix UK site and print them on a cardstock (190g).
You can find the circles as a free spring printable: free floral papers by Sizzix.

You need:
Sizzix Framelits Die Set 8PK - Circles, Scallop (657552)
Sizzix Framelits Die Set 8PK - Circles (657551)
Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit (White & Gray) (660515)
Sample cardstock (light blue and white pattern) conteined in the Big Shot Plus Starter Kit
Banner Die conteined in the Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 23PK - Floral Wreath (660256)
Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 102PK - Alphanumeric (1" Tall) (660210)
Mini card with a mini envelope
Double-sided tape
Scissors
Cardstocks (light blue and white)

Die cut all the paper decorations using different cardstocks and paste them on the mini card using small pieces of double-sided tape.
Die cut the letters and paste them on the back of the envelope with double-sided tape.
With Sizzix Big Shot you are able to get a lovely customized card in only few minutes.

I realized a very easy card but my dad was very impressed.
He never read my blog so he had no idea of what I can make with the Sizzix Big Shot.
Now he knows! ^^

Happy sunday to you all!

Buongiorno amici!
Li potete trovare nella sezione: free floral papers by Sizzix.

Ho usato:
Sizzix Framelits Die Set 8PK - Circles, Scallop (657552)
Sizzix Framelits Die Set 8PK - Circles (657551)
Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit (White & Gray) (660515)
Cartoncino a fantasia bianca e azzurra contenuto nel Big Shot Plus Starter Kit
Fustella a banner contenuta nel Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 23PK - Floral Wreath (660256)
Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 102PK - Alphanumeric (1" Tall) (660210)
Mini biglietto con mini busta in carta
Nastro biadesivo
Forbici
Cartoncini (azzurro e bianco)

Buona domenica!
Silvia

First of all place the pink cardstock into the polka dots texture folder (you can find it in the Sizzix Plus Starter Kit) and emboss it.
Die cut the box using the embossed pink cadstock and the Bigz XL Die Box designed by Stephanie Ackerman, so pretty!
Arrange the box using a double-sided thin tape.

Cut the floral yellow frame with the scissors and paste it on the box using a double-sided thin tape.

Die cut the card (present in the Stephanie's Die ) using the embossed pink cardstock first, and the hot yellow then to obtain two cards.
Die cut the yellow card using the letters THANKS from the Alphanumeric Set.

TIP: If you haven't a Magnetic Platform you can use a paper tape to keep the letters dies in position.

Paste the yellow card on the pink embossed card using the glue or the double-sided tape.

Paste all the paper decorations on the box and on the card using a glue stick.

Simple and pretty,
perfect to say thank you to someone!

Ho usato:
Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit (White & Gray) (660515) new!
Sizzix Bigz XL Die - Box & Card (660281)
Sizzix Accessory - Premium Crease Pad, Extended (656159)
Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 23PK - Floral Wreath (660256) new!
Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 102PK - Alphanumeric (1" Tall) (660210)
Cartoncini(rosa, bianco, giallo fluo, oro glitterato, verde)
Nastro biadesivo
Colla stick
Forbici

Facile!

Voi avete realizzato dei biglietti d'auguri pasquali?
Quali colori avete scelto?

Monogram favor

Hello Sizzix friends!
Today I'd like to share with you a party favor idea.
When we decide to arrange a party at home or outside it is always a good idea to make a small gift for our guests.
In Italy we love this kind of candies so much that I decided to suggest you a nice way to pack them by customizing the package.
You can choose the candies according to colours or flavours.

You need:
Sizzix Big Shot Machine Only (Powder Blue & Teal) (657900)
Cardstocks (acid green, white)
Glitter silver cardstock
Plastic vial
Glue
Scissors
Lace ribbon
Baker's twine (grey-white)
Violet italian candies

Fill the vial with candies.
Die cut the banners in two size (the biggest using the acid green cardstock, the small using a white cardstock).
Die cut the monogram letter using the glitter cardstock.
Die cut a small star (I used the smallest star from the Sizzix Framelits Die Set 5PK - Stars) using the acid green cardstock.
Paste the white small banner on the green big banner with the glue.
Cut the banners with a hole punch to get a tag.
Paste the monogram letter on the tag and paste the star on the plastic vial.
Place a piece of lace on the vial hole and made a knot.
Place the baker's twine on the vial hole, above the lace.
Make a knot, add the tag and make a bow.
Cut the baker's twine in excess and cut the lace.

This kind of favor is perfect for a party, to give your guests a little gift.
You can fill the vial with candies or with a message.
Thank you for reading.
See you next sunday!

*Per le lettrici italiane*

Buongiorno!

Ho usato:
Sizzix Big Shot Machine Only (Powder Blue & Teal) (657900)
Cartoncini (verde acido e bianco)
Cartoncino glitterato argento
Fialetta in plastica
Colla
Forbici
Nastro in pizzo
Baker's twine (grigio e bianco)

A domenica prossima!

Hello Tiger!

Last week I was lucky enough to be invited to teach workshops in the beautiful Slovenian city of Maribor. It is the second year that I have attended the Art Trade Creative Week event  and it was so good to meet old friends and make some new ones along the way. I would like to offer up a big thank you to Primoz and Mihaela for once again being the most generous and helpful hosts imaginable, I would also like to thank their incredible team who work tirelessly to bring it all together and I can't finish without a big thank you to everyone who attended the workshops and supported this wonderful event, I could type up a list of names at this point but the truth is I would hate to forget someone..... You know who you all are!!!

If you want to see a few of the photographs and find out more about this truly international event then click on this link, and if you fancy a city break next March combined with some top quality art and craft workshops then my destination of choice would be Maribor!

I was teaching mixed media style projects at the event but at the end of each workshop I showed the class how to create a bunny from a set of Framelits Hearts after which I promised to blog the idea this week but..... I'm going to break that promise and post a new cuddly creature (the clue is in the title!!!) instead, however, if you want to see the bunny idea and many more like it, all you have to do is go to the top of the page and click on my picture before scrolling back to posts dated March 5th/February 26th 2014.

As I mentioned I'm going to use my Framelits Hearts and the New Thinlits Alphanumeric alphabet from Tim Holtz as well as a lovely little Thinlits set called Happiness Phrases.

I'm using the 3 smallest hearts from the set and I have cut one large and three small orange hearts, one medium white heart and two small pink hearts. Good stiff card stock is  the best thing to use.

Next, I used the large heart die to cut the medium white heart in two pieces before attaching to the large orange heart. next I used a pair of scissors to snip a few pieces of black card into triangular lengths.

I attached six of the black pieces to the face as shown before adding one of the small pink hearts for the tigers nose using an adhesive foam pad. I then took two of the small orange hearts and made a couple of snips in each one as shown before attaching to the rear of the tigers head along with a couple of black pearl gems. For the finishing touch I attached the the last pink heart to its orange counterpart as shown before attaching to the rear of the tigers face with an adhesive foam pad to create a smiley mouth (he merely looks confused otherwise!)

I took my 'Hello' die and the Thinlits letters to create the word 'TIGER' and placed them on grey and olive green card before die-cutting through my Big Shot.

Here's the finished card, as you can see I used the negative letters for the word 'TIGER' which was trimmed to size and attached using a brad and eyelet.

I hope you like it because I have a few more heart die ideas to share at some point in the future.
