Hello! It's Anna here to share some ideas using Sizzix products.
Hope you all are well and having a wonderful week.
Today I have a card to share that is full of romantic colours and a beautiful daisy flower. I share a tutorial on making paper flower using Tattered Florals and Tiny Tabs & Tags dies, from Essential Range.
Here is the card that I created:

2- Cover the front with a patterned paper flowers.
3- Cut a strip of patterned paper brown, then adhere in the bottom and spray the white color.
4- Fold a paper cup cupcake and apply in the center of card.
5- Cut out a tag using the Die - Tiny Tabs & Tags. Let a few drops of color ink. Apply the washi tape. Add some twine and glue the tag to the right. Roll end of twine and use the stapler to attach.
6- Cut out a little flower with Framelits and apply to the tag.
7- Use the Bigz die (656640) to cut out three flowers from pink cardstock and one similar flower with Decorative Strip Die. Start with the smallest and work backwards. Paint the center of flower with color ink. Apply the fabric button. Shape the petals.

Per le amiche italiane! :)

Procedimento:
Modellare i petali.

Summer Tattered Flower Cushion

Hi everyone! Today I come back with a new cushion project. I love  how  turned it on.
This time I wanted something different, elegant  and  more creative so I sew some embellishment.
For my summer project I chose some of the essentials dies, one of them included in the Sizzix Plus Starter kit. This new machine let me to use two dies at the same time.
I love tattered  Florals  by Tim Holtz and this die is one my all time used die since it was on sale.
You can see how versatile is this flower die taking a look to the Vintage Sewing Machine cover  and published in Manos Maravillosas issue.

First I ironed some fusible web on the wrong side of the fabric and cut  the pieces, flowers and leaves.

656640

Then I layer on my background fabric , a very cream tone, and stitched with my machine and brown thread, all around.

With the pieces stitched and displayed as you can see in the pic, I started hand quilting with perle  brown  8 cotton. Previously I added some  batting, of course.

I wanted some  beads in my cushion so  I chose some in red, cream and brown.

Finally I did the finishing with some fabric ribbon I sew by machine and used to tie on the back of the cushion. You can take a look to  Merry Xmas Cushion  or Autumn  Fox Faces cushion finished in the same way.
Now it matches perfectly with my Ohio Star quilt I showed here and waiting for quilting yet.
I like this style cushion , don´t you ?

Hope you can enjoy this time of the year , perfect to be with family and friends!!
See you in two weeks again!!
Love
Mercedes

Fall Family Fun.

Hello, it's me Bente here with an Autumn/Fall inspired page.
The air is much crisper now than only a couple of weeks ago and up here in the Scandinavian countries the days have grown much shorter.

I think you can tell I had a lot of messy fun with this page. I added a couple of my all time favourite dies. As you probably know by now, the Tattered Floral die is just perfect for making your own flowers and the Frameworks dies are all wonderful to use both as a background or as a special feature on their own.

I took the picture yesterday when we went for a stroll in the beechforest looking for any remaining delicious chanterelles. We came home pretty emptyhanded, but we all ejoyed our little outing very much.

I used the large Tim Holtz Leaf die with its embossingfolder. I think it is absolutely beautiful. In my previous post I used it as well, on a couple of cards.

Finally a little close up of one of my Tattered Florals (medium sixed).

So today was an explosion of colour. I hope you enjoyed my Fall inspired page and I will be looking forward to seeing you same place and same time next Sunday! :-)

The Sizzix products I used are:
Sizzix Big Shot Starter Kit (Powder Blue & Teal)
Sizzix Frameworks Die - Courtyard
Sizzix Bigz Die - Tattered Florals
Sizzix Bigz Die w/Texture Fades - Layered Leaf

Papers are Prima and Les papiers de Pandore. Flowers are Prima, Petaloo, Magnolia

Have a nice new week!

My vintage sewing machine cover

Hi everyone ! Do you remember I was working in a new project and I needed to finish  and I showed you here last summer ? Ok, finally it´s finished  and I looooooove it.
It´s incredible how tattered dies can be use  and how easy they are to enjoy in a quilting project.

I planned this cover for my loved Bernina some time ago. But as you know , some time projects have to wait for new ones. And this one waited  and waited and waited until at last I came back to it on summer.

Here it is the front of the cover with the lovely bird that I adore by Tim Holtz, so cute!!

And here it is the back. I can change the view when I want !!

My sewing accesories sewn before, like the very big  pincushion with the tuto , match perfectly as  it is my desire
If you want to see a video about how I did this quilting go to my post  Quilting leaves in my blog.

This cover has the size for a Bernina Aurora 440.  You must to take the size of your own machine.

SUPPLY LIST:

SIZZIX BIGZ DIE - TATTERED FLORALS

SIZZIX BIGZ DIE - TATTERED LEAVES
SIZZIX BIGZ DIE - CAGED BIRD
Fabrics from your selection for the bird, leaves and flowers
White fabric for the three pannels:
       21"x 12"- 2 pieces
       45.5 " x 9"- 1  long piece
Batting ( Same pieces and sizes than the  white fabric )
Fusible web
Quilting thread matched with the fabrics
58 " bias
piping or cord if you do it (two bias of 44" with piping)

First I started ironing  fusible web on the wrong side of the fabrics.
Then I cut with my old Big shot a lot of flowers, leaves and a bird.

Here it is how I  appliqued the flowers using my 20 foot and matching thread color with fabric.
I added the batting before as it is usual.

After quilting leaves I sew the three parts of the cover  and added a pipped edge around the cover.
I did by myself  with a bought bias and some  cotton cord.
Finally I sew more bias at the botton of the cover and finished with hidden stitched by hand.

I have to say this is the most lovely machine cover for my Aurora!!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!!
Love
Mercedes

..................................................................************* ..................................................................

Materiales :

SIZZIX BIGZ DIE - TATTERED FLORALS
