Tutorial: Autumn flower in a rustic frame

Hi Sizzix friends!!!

It’s Friday again and Raquel is here. I continue in autumn mode so the project I show today is again inspired by this season.

To make this rustic frame I’ve used some leaves from Sizzix dies, of course! And this beautiful new flower die, some acrylic paint, candle, felt and cardstock.

De nuevo es viernes así que aquí estoy. Y como sigo en modo otoño, el proyecto que os enseño hoy está de nuevo inspirado en esta estación.

Para realizar este cuadro rústico he utilizado algunas troqueles de hojas de Sizzix, por supuesto!!! Y este precioso troquel de flor, pintura acrílica, vela, fieltro y cartulina.

Home Decor : A beatiful 3D Rose Ball

Hi everybody! Here I am with a new project for your home decor. This time I left  my machine kept in my sewing room  and I decided something new with one of the new Sizzix dies by Emily Atherton, Love Birds 3-D Rose.
I wanted something in autumn colors for my home so I chose some nice felt and made beautiful roses.

Here it is what you need:

Love Birds 3-D Rose die

Big Shot Machine

felt in four colors

styrofoam ball

pins

glue gun

wide and narrow ribbon

First you need to cut out a buch of felt in all the felt colors

Then you have to make the rosebuds starting for the small petals. Hit with the glun. Add the pin inside.

Pin all your roses on the ball.

Finally do a loop with the wide ribbon and pin to the ball ......  tie all the ball with the narrow one.

Now you can hold your beautiful Love Birds Rose ball wherever you want.

Here you can see it on a nice framework but you can  hung it from the ceiling too.

Hope you like this idea even like a gift or Xmas present in different colors.

It was a pleasure to share something new and try another Sizzix Die.

¡Hola a todo el mundo! Ya estoy aquí con un nuevo proyecto para la decoración de tu casa. Esta  vez  he dejado la máquina aparcada en mi habitación de costura y he decidido hacer algo nuevo con uno de los últimos troqueles de Sizzix  diseñado por Emily Atherton, Love Birds 3-D Rose.

Me gustaba algo en todos otoñales, así que escogí algunos fieltros en granate , mostaza y rosa antiguo e hice preciosas rosas.

Los materiales que necesitas son:

Love Birds 3-D Rose die

 Máquina Big Shot

Fieltro en cuatro colores

Bola de poliestileno ( 15 cm)

Pistola de silicona

Alfileres de cabeza de perla

Cinta ancha y estrecha decorativa.

Primero necesitas  cortar un montón de fieltro de todos los colores. Después haces los capullos de rosas  empezando por el lado de los pétalos pequeños . Ve pegando con la pistola de silicona. Luego añade el alfiler por dentro.

Una vez tengas todas las rosas, ve pinchándolas sobre la bola. Por último haz un lazo con la cinta ancha . Sujeta con alfileres y añade la estrecha más larga para colgar.

Ahora ya puedes colgarla tu preciosa bola decorativa donde quieras.

En la foto puedes  verla sujeta a un marco que tenía por casa pero también puedes colgarla del techo.

Espero que te haya gustado esta idea que incluso puede ser un regalo o  más adelante como regalo navideño. Ha sido un placer  volver a usar uno de  los troqueles  nuevos de Sizzix.

Autumn copper home decor

Hi everybody!

I was determined flowers also can have an autumnal look... a nice copper cardstock and the great Brenda Walton Camellia Bigz die were the solution for me.

I decide to use them to create a seasonal home plaque

Estaba empeñado en que las flores también pueden tener un aspecto otoñal... una buena cartulina color cobre y el genial troquel Bigz de Brenda Walton Camellia, fueron la solución para mí.

Decidí utilizarlos para crear una bonita placa estacional para casa.

An autumn wreath

Hi everyone! Today I  show you a new autumn project and I love it !!
I like season wreaths and I could´t loose the opportunity to use Sizzix dies and try  something new.
..... And here it is ...... a really autumn wreath full of leaves and some more decorations.

I combined differents  leaves dies to get the  final effect I wanted.

As you can see, I cut out  the leaves and little circles for doing the yo- yo. You can see  my tuto for them in this post

The big leaves are doble side. I ironed fusible web on the wrong side, press again and cut out with Big Shot machine.

Sew some lines on the  small leaves with Mettler thread.

You can make some idea about all the material used looking to the pic.

I covered all the wreath with the fabric using a heat gun .

Then I only added the leaves and later the rest of decorations.

Everything is sticked with the glue gun.

It didn´t take a lot of time finishing. You can spend some time doing the cutting and using your sewing machine and another just putting all together. 

Here it  is with one of my last projects, the autumn table topper .

Hola a todos, hoy os traigo un nuevo proyecto de otoño y me encanta.

Me gustan las coronas para cada estación y no quería dejar pasar la oportunidad de hacer una con los troqueles de Sizzix. ….. Y aquí está….. una corona llena de hojas y más cositas.

Para montarla usé una combinación de diferentes clases de hojas.

Carretes pequeños de madera

Corona de corcho blanco de 30 cm

Tela para cubir la corona ( 8cm x 215cm)

Entretela de doble cara

pistola de silicona

Como ves en las fotos , corté las hojas y los círculos pequeños para los yo- yos. Puedes ver el tutorial para hacerlo en este artículo.

Las hojas grandes son de doble cara . Antes planché entretela de doble cara por el revés  y luego corté.

Cosí algunas líneas con la máquina de coser sobre las hojas con  un hilo matizado de Mettler.

Cubrí toda la corona con la tela pegándola con la pistola de silicona y terminé de  añadir todas las  hojas y resto de decoraciones, también con la pistola.

No me  llevó mucho tiempo, quizá un rato una mañana para cortar y coser los nervios de las hojas y otro para el montaje.
