A little embroidery hoop in a frame and... lot of love!

Hi Sizzix friends!

Today I want to show you a special home decoration I have created for a good friend. I have used the Heartfelt die and as a  principal focus: a little embroidery hoop!!!

I love to mix fabric and paper on my projects; in this case I’ve used linen fabric and burlap that combine perfectly with the white of the frame and the cardstock used as the background. All together give a smart result!!

Here are more details pictures:

The embroidery hoop includes the big heart of the dies that I’ve also embossed using the Botany decoration embossing folder. For the message I’ve die-cut the label included in the Floral wreath die set.

I’ve added some adhesive foam pads to emphasize the message

For the background I’ve used a white cardstock and die-cut lot of hearts in two different sizes to combine them to create the background decoration in a false embossment. Each heart is die-cut in two pieces to give more volume.

I’m very happy with the result of this home decoration and the best is that my friend liked it too!!!

¡Hola a todos!

Hoy quiero enseñaros una decoración especial que realicé para una buena amiga. He utilizado el troquel Heartfelt y como foco principal: un mini bastidor!!!

Me encanta mezclar tela y papeles en mis proyectos; en este caso he utilizado tela de lino y arpillera que combinan perfectamente con el blanco del marco y la cartulina que utilizada para el fondo. Todo ello proporciona un resultado elegante!!!

Foto de los detalles:

El bastidor incluye el corazón grande del troquel, que también he texturizado con al carpetilla Botany decoration. Para el mensaje he troquelado la etiqueta incluída en el kit de troqueles Floral wreath.

He añadido adhesivo 3D para realzar el mensaje.

Para el fondo he utilizado cartulina blanca texturizada y he troquelado muchos corazones en dos medidas diferentes para combinarlos y crear la decoración del fondo simulando un falso repujado. Cada corazón está troquelado en dos piezas para darle más volumen.

La verdad es que estoy muy contenta con el resultado y  lo mejor es que a mi amiga también le gustó!!!

Leaves, branches...Autumnal card !!!

Hi Sizzix friends!

I love autumn, its warm colours and the little pieces of nature we can find on our walks. I enjoy picking up little branches and add them in my projects. So today, I show you a card I've made using the Floral wreath Thinlits and some branches.

It is a very clean and simple card in white background that makes the nature elements stand up.

For the background I’ve used the candy hearts embossing folder it makes the card sweet.

I’ve tied the branches and die-cut these beautiful leaves (I love the size and the shape) in  green colours to add them to the branches.

I have die-cut this label of the Tab Cards set and I’ve stamped on it the sentiment and finally a little piece of burlap fixed with little brads.

In a few steps we have a beautiful autumnal card!!!

¡Hola a todos!

Me encanta el otoño, sus cálidos colores y esos pequeños elementos naturales que podemos encontrar en nuestros paseos. Disfruto recogiendo las ramas del suelo para añadirlas a mis proyectos. Así que hoy os enseño un tarjeta que he realizado utilizando los troqueles Floral wreath Thinlits y algunas ramas. 

Se trata de una tarjeta muy "clean and simple" con fondo blanco que hace resaltar los elementos naturales.

Para el fondo he utilizado la carpeta de embossing candy hearts que hace la tarjeta dulce.

He atado las ramas y troquelado estas preciosas hojas (me encanta su medida y su forma) en tonos verdes para añadirlas a las ramas. 

He troquelado esta etiqueta del Tab Cards set , le he estampado el mensaje y finalmente he añadido arpillera fijada con encuadernadores pequeños.

Con estos sencillos pasos conseguimos una preciosa tarjeta otoñal ¿no os parece?

Fall Is (Almost) Here

Hello Sizzix fans!

It doesn't take that long anymore until fall will be here in Europe. The days are getting shorter already and the weather is a little more chilly than a couple of weeks ago. I will definitely miss summer, but at the same time I love fall because of the fact that the rain and wind is a great reason to stay inside and enjoy some crafty time. 

In order to get you started on some wonderful crafting with your Sizzix dies, I created a card with a fall theme to it. I used the beautiful Floral Wreath set from Sizzix as well as several other dies and punches.

Tim Holtz Postage Stamp Frame Die

Thinlits Floral Wreath Set

Tim Holtz Thinlits Mixed Media Dies

Paper Punch Butterfly Large

The card itself was punched out of orange paper with the Tim Holtz Postage Stamp Frame die. As I wanted to create a fall look on it, I cut out a bunch of leaves with multiple dies from the Thinlits Floral Wreath Set. I gently folded them  and inked their edges to make sure that they would stand out more. 

As you can see on the photos above and below, I also cut out a chickenwire pattern with the Tim Holtz Thinlits Mixed Media Dies and used it to fill up a couple of empty spots on my card. I just love these dies, as they are perfect to add a little extra detail to your projects.

I further embellished my card with two butterflies. These butterflies consist of a large butterfly, which was punched out with the Paper Punch Butterfly Large, and a smaller butterfly from the Thinlits Floral Wreath Set. I stapled them on top of each other for more dimension.

De herfst laat niet lang meer op zich wachten in Europa. De dagen worden al korter en het weer wordt iets koeler en winderig dan een paar weken geleden. Ik ga de zomer zeker weten missen, maar aan de andere kant vind ik het ook heerlijk om in het regenachtige herfstweer lekker binnen te zitten en te scrappen.

Om je alvast te inspireren bij het maken van een aantal mooie herfstcreaties, wil ik graag een echt herfstkaartje laten zien vandaag. Ik heb daarvoor de prachtige Floral Wreath Set van Sizzix gebruikt, evenals ene paar andere stansen en een pons.

De kaart zelf heb ik uit oranje papier gestanst met de Tim Holtz Postage Stamp Frame stans. Omdat ik de kaart een herfstachtige uistraling wilde geven, heb ik daarna een aantal blaadjes uitgestanst met verschillende stansen uit de Thinlits Floral Wreath Set. Ik heb ze voorzichtig een beetje omgekruld en de randjes geïnkt, zodat ze beter los zouden komen van de achtergrond.

Zoals je op de foto's kunt zien, heb ik ook een kippengaas patroon uitgestanst met de Tim Holtz Thinlits Mixed Media Dies en heb ik dit gebruikt om een paar lege plekken op mijn kaart op te vullen. Ik vind dit zo'n leuke set stansen, omdat ze perfect zijn om nog net wat details aan je creatie toe te voegen.

Ik heb mijn kaart verder nog versierd met twee vlinders. Beide vlinders bestaan uit een grote vlinder, uitgeponst met de Paper Punch Butterfly Large, en een kleinere vlinder uit d Thinlits Floral Wreath Set. Ik heb ze op elkaar geplakt voor een 3D effect.

Enjoy the new season card

I'm waiting for the new season and in these days I love working with warm colours.
Here is one of my last card, so cute!

You need:
Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 23PK - Floral Wreath (660256)
Sizzix Framelits Die Set 8PK - Circles (657551)
Cream Card
Cardstocks
Stick glue
Dots glue
Double-sided sticky foam pads
Label maker
Black felt-tip pen
Sticker

Die cut the leaves using several cardstocks in autumnal pattern and the dies from Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 23PK - Floral Wreath (660256)
Die cut a circle frame using together two different sizes of circle framelits dies from Sizzix Framelits Die Set 8PK - Circles (657551) and a kraft brown cardstock.
Paste all the leaves cutted on the frame using stick glue.
Fix the seasonal wreath on a cream square card using glue dots.
Now you are able to decorate the wreath as you like.

My decoration:

I fixed a glittering star from Christmas decorations putting a glue dots under the paper wreath.
I die cutted a banner using the banner die from Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 23PK - Floral Wreath (660256) and a white cardstock.
I decorated the banner using a black felt-tip pen and I fixed it on the wreath with sticky pads.
I pasted a sticker with the word 'season'.
I realized a label with the label maker with the word 'enjoy' and I fixed it on the banner with two sticky pads.
That's it!

Fustellate alcune foglie usando diversi cartoncini e le fustelle a foglia presenti nel Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 23PK - Floral Wreath (660256).
Fustellate una cornice circolare usando contemporaneamente due fustelle circolari di diverse dimensioni presenti nel Sizzix Framelits Die Set 8PK - Circles (657551) e un cartoncino marrone kraft.
Incollate tutte le foglie sulla cornice usando della colla stick.
Fissate la ghirlanda di foglie su un cartoncino quadrato color crema usando alcuni punti adesivi.
Ora siete pronti per finire di decorare la ghirlanda come preferite.

La mia decorazione:

Ho fissato una stellina glitterata di quelle che si comprano da mettere sui pacchetti o sull'albero di Natale con un punto adesivo posizionato sotto la ghirlanda di foglie.
Ho fustellato un banner di cartoncino bianco usando la fustella presente nel Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 23PK - Floral Wreath (660256).
Ho decorato il banner con dei tratteggi di pennarello nero a punta fine.
Ho fissato il banner sulla ghirlanda con alcuni gommini biadesivi.
Ho incollato sul banner l'adesivo con la scritta 'season'.
Ho realizzato una etichetta con la parola 'enjoy' e l'ho fissata sul banner con due gommini biadesivi.

Watercolour hello card

Hi Sizzix friends!!!

This week has started a new month, light changes, colours change too … So today I wanted to show you a cute card I’ve created inspired on September, that includes a step by step to create this watercolour background. 

I’ve used the embossing folder botany decoration for the background and to achive the watercolour effect I’ve used my distress ink. I’ve also used the floral wreath, the layering frames and the hello word dies to create this cute card. 

Here are the steps for the background:

Ink the embossing folder with distress ink.

Spray with water all the surface.

Make the sandwich using a watercolour paper.

This is the beautiful result of this process !!!

Now is time to die-cut all the pieces:

The magnetic platform is a good choice to use with the thinlits!!!

 I’ve also used the brush to remove the die-cuts.

These leaves are beautiful !!! 

To create this card I’ve also used fabric in one of the layers and I've glued the different layers using the 3D adhsesive foam.

¡Hola a todos!

Esta semana hemos estrenado un nuevo mes, donde la luz cambia, los colores también... Así que hoy os quería enseñar la tarjeta que realizado inspirada en septiembre que incluye un pequeño paso a paso de cómo he creado este fondo efecto acuarela. 

Para el fondo he utilizado esta preciosa carpeta de repujado botany decoration y para conseguir el efecto acuarela he usado la tinta distress. Tambié he utilizado los troqueles floral wreath, el layering frames y el hello word para acabar de dar forma a esta tarjeta. 

Estos son los pasos para el fondo:

Entintar el interior de la carpetilla con la tinta distress como se indica en el foto.

Tirar agua con un vaporizador

Hacer el sandwich con un papel de acuarela o de alto gramaje.

El precioso recultado lo podéis apreciar en las fotos superiores.

Y ahora llega el turno a los troquelados, para ello he utilizado la base magnética que me va genial para los troqueles metálicos !!! Me he ayudado del cepillo para retirar las piezas más intricadas. 

Estas hojas me parecen preciosas!!!

Una vez tengo todo troquelado y cortado llega el momento de montar la tarjeta, he ido haciendo capas, en una de ellas he utilizado tela.

Christmas Milk Carton Box

I'm working on Christmas projects since june.
It is a little bit crazy but, you know, I love Christmas.
Working in this industry means also trying new products before they will be on sale and it's amazing for a package lover as I am!

First thing first die cut the white cardstock using Sizzix Thinlits Die - Box, Milk Carton (658823).
Emboss the milk carton box using a snowflakes embossing folder (for exemple: Sizzix Textured Impressions Embossing Folder - Snowflake Background Set (658283)).
Arrenge the box using some pieces of double-sided sticky tape.
Stamp a quote on a cream cardstock using a silver ink.
Die cut the cream cardstock using a banner from Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 23PK - Floral Wreath (660256).
Die cut the snowflakes patterned cardstock using Sizzix Thinlits Die - Proud Deer (660881).
Paste the deer on the box using a piece of double-sided stickt tape.
Add some baker's twine on the box, make a knot and a bow.
Fix the banner on the deer using two sticky foam pads.
Die cut the kraft cardstock using the branch die from Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 3PK - Decorative Trees (660878) and the hello die from Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 3PK - Winter Wishes (660882).
Paste the two paper decorations on the box using some glue.

Goffrate la sagoma della scatola usando una cartella di goffraggio con fiocchi di neve (ad esempio: Sizzix Textured Impressions Embossing Folder - Snowflake Background Set (658283).
Componete la scatola usando alcuni pezzi di nastro biadesivo.
Timbrate sul cartoncino color crema una frase usando l'inchiostro argentato.
Fustellate la frase usando la fustella banner presente nel Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 23PK - Floral Wreath (660256).
Fustellate il cartoncino con i fiocchi di neve utilizzando la fustella Sizzix Thinlits Die - Proud Deer (660881).
Incollate il cervo sulla scatola usando un pezzo di nastro biadesivo.
Avvolgete la scatola con lo spago, fate un nodo e un fiocco.
Fissate il banner sulla renna usando due gommini biadesivi.
Fustellate il cartoncino kraft usando la fustella a ramo presente nel Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 3PK - Decorative Trees (660878) e la scritta hello presente nel Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 3PK - Winter Wishes (660882).
Incollate le due decorazioni di carta sulla scatola con della colla stick.

3D Neon treat bag

You know I love every colours, from pastels to neon colours and I think summer is perfect to try new mix and match.
Today I'd like to share with you a new gift package completly handmade thanks to Sizzix Big Shot Plus Machine and realized matching two neon colours (orange and green) with white and pale pink.

 

 

You need:

Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit (White & Gray) (660515)

Sizzix Movers & Shapers L Die - Sweet Treat Bag (660265)

Sizzix Accessory - Premium Crease Pad, Extended   

Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 23PK - Floral Wreath (660256)

Sizzix Bigz Die - Heartfelt (660233)

Cardstock (white, neon orange, pale pink)

Adhesive dots

Double-sided tape

Scissors

Hole punch

Green ribbon

 

Realize a treat bag using Sizzix Movers & Shapers L Die - Sweet Treat Bag and Sizzix Premium Crease Pad Extended  and a neon orange cardstock.

Arrange the treat bag using double-sided tape and scissors. 

Make a hole on the treat bag using a hole punch.

 

 

 

 

 

Die cut the hot orange cardstock using the heart die from the Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit (White & Gray).

Die cut the white cardstock using the frame die from Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 23PK - Floral Wreath

Die cut the white cardstock using Sizzix Bigz Die - Heartfelt.

Arrange the paper decorations using 3D adhesive dots so that you could get a 3D decoration.

Paste the final paper decoration on the treat bag using 3D adhesive dots.

Die cut two leaves branches using a die from Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 23PK - Floral Wreath and a pink cardstock.

Add the branches on the 3D paper decoration using double-sided tape.

Add a green ribbon in the hole, close the bag and make a bow.

 

The neon summer package is done!

Realizzare un foro sul sacchetto con una fustellatrice tonda.

Fustellare un cartoncino arancione neon utilizzando la fustella a cuore presente nel Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit (White & Gray).

Fustellare un cartoncino bianco utilizzando la fustella cornice presente nel Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 23PK - Floral Wreath.

Fustellare un cartoncino bianco utilizzando Sizzix Bigz Die - Heartfelt (scegliendo il cuore che più vi piace).

Abbinare le decorazioni di carta incollandole tra loro con dei punti biadesivi tridimensionali

in modo tale da ottenere una decorazione in rilievo.

Incollare la decorazione definitiva sul sacchetto sempre sfruttando i punti biadesivi.

Fustellare due rami di foglie utilizzando la fustella presente nel Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 23PK - Floral Wreath e un cartoncino rosa.

Aggiungere i due rami alla decorazione 3D posizionandoli ai lati del cuore con del nastro biadesivo.

Aggiungere un nastro verde acido nel foro del sacchetto realizzato precedentemente, chiudere il sacchetto e fare un fiocco.
