Play with your Project Life by Karine

Hello!

Here I am today with pieces of a Project Life double page lay-out in a road book style!

Supply list:

Transparent pouches: Becky Higgins
Papers: 4heures37, American Crafts, Bristol
Alphabets: American Crafts
PL cards: American Crafts, 4heures37
Embellishments: Ephéméria
Dies: Sizzix
Inks: Chalk Prima
Ink: Versamark
Embossing powder: Zing American Crafts
Stamps: Aladine, Kési'Art, Bloomini Studio, Craft Origine, Paper Source
Brushos: Leaf Green & Turquoise

Dies:

650515 : Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit
660320:  Sizzix Precision Base Plate for Intricate Thinlits Dies
660804:  Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 3PK- Happiness Phrases
657188:  Sizzix Bigz Die- Tiny Tabs & Tags

I worked this double page in my favorite color tones: sea green! I worked on a sea green color chart to make my future holidays pictures stand out! This is a good way to think ahead of sun & beach! It’s perfect for your mood!

I used my Sizzix dies as a finishing touch, for the decoration part. I used my favorite Bigz die which is the “Sizzix Bigz Die- Tiny Tabs & Tags” to cut a small tab out of blue paper. It is so easy to insert in a project and it can be cut in various material!

The die “Hello” is perfect to welcome me in this nice little town that is Cassis! I advise you to glue it with a spray can as this die is really thin!

Then we end the decoration part by inserting a pretty lace heart coming from the Big Shot Plus Starter Kit! We will make it stand out by gluing it with 3D foam adhesive.

Here are some pictures for you!

Have a nice day,

Karine

660804:  Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 3PK- Happiness Phrases
657188 Sizzix Bigz Die- Tiny Tabs & Tags

Voici maintenant quelques extraits !

Très bonne journée à vous

Karine

A masculine layout

Today I fancied doing a layout to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday last year. I can't believe myself that he is 40 already but he certainly is.

I went for a 6 x 8" layout which is my current favourite. Its not too small and the proportions are just right for me.

I selected a few dies that i wanted to use which are:

The Butterfly card set comes with several very useful dies. I love the feel of the postage stamp so i designed two for this set that actually work together both nesting and sideways.

No matter which way you want to distribute them the edges match!

I die cut several of the large and small ones out of white card. then I distress them using Pumice Stone ink pad.

My husband does like butterflies but not in feminine colours, so I decided to add a detail but not to obvious. Using the smaller die I embossed using the Sizzix Texturz Silicone Rubber pad and the Sizzix Texturz Impressions Pad. I followed the instructions on the multipurpose platform on how to layer it. Basically Tab 1 - clear cutting plate - die with the cutting side up - card - rubber - Impressions pad.

The effect is pretty unique! I highlighted it with distress inks. I die cut the 40 and the words and glue them. I like to use the foam strips from Stix2 as they come in two small widths and you can cut them to the desired length. Makes live so much easier!

On elf the beauties of this set is that you have matching dies to layer on to top of the postage stamp die cuts. I die cut the photos to match the stamps perfectly, no measuring needed!

I spray some ink on the background and assemble some elements over the edge, and there it was finished:

Its a bit different from my usual pretty and clean style, but I think it is perfect to remember that fabulous day!

Project Life cards

For a few years I've jumped on (and eventually fallen off) the Project Life wagon and yet I am giving the concept another go this year. Hopefully I've simplified my approach enough to make an entire album worth of pocket pages.

I wanted to create some personal and unique cards for my album and to that end Sizzix products are just the thing you need. My album will be held in black, white, grey, kraft and gold colours so those are the colours I used for my various journaling and filler cards.

This first card is meant to be used for journaling. I diecut two rectangles using dies from Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 10PK - Phrase Cards and Thinlits Die Set 6PK - Butterfly Cards and layered them on top of each other before stitching along the top. At the bottom I stamped and arrow using Framelits Die Set 12PK w/Stamps - Here & There.

This set is made using dies from Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 10PK - Phrase Cards and I simply diecut the frames and then added some patterned vellum on the backsides.

For the third set I wanted to use the speech bubbles from Thinlits Die Set 6PK - I Heart This and combine them with words from Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 10PK - Phrase Cards . I embellished each word with a golden heart diecut with dies from the same sets.

The last set sports more love. I've used dies from Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 10PK - Phrase Cards to create both cards.

Supply list:
Sizzix Big Shot Starter Kit (Powder Blue & Teal)
Sizzix Accessory - Magnetic Platform for Wafer-Thin Dies
---o---

Project Life and Sizzix ! Love it ! by karine

Hello!

A creation inspired by the Project Life today thanks to my set “Life made simple – anniversaire #2”.

Supply list: Folders (Becky Higgins pour American Crafts ); Pattern papers (Jenni Bowlin Mercantile); Project Life cards (Studio Calico); Cardstock (American Crafts); Alphabets (American Crafts, Basic Grey); Stickers (October Afternoon, American Crafts, Studio Calico); Rub-ons (Jenni Bowlin Studio, 7Gypsies); Badge (Jenni Bowlin Studio); Masking Tape, masking tape (Basic Grey) ; Stamps (Florilèges Design); Inks (Grey & black Versafine)

Dies:

659748 : Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 3PK-Birthday#2
658300 : Sizzix Big Shot Starter Kit

I am a big fan of the Project Life so you can imagine how pleased I was when I received the dies from the "Life made simple" collection! They’re all fantastic & so versatile!

The aim here is to create your own Project Life cards thanks to the Sizzix dies! Recycle your pattern papers or cardstock scraps and transform them into Project Life cards!

I also used a chevrons-patterned die that I particularly like! Only one go in the Big Shot and your card is cut out, scooped-out and ready to use! Here I used the "Life Made Simple-Anniversaire #2" set.

The picture will be glued with 3D adhesive for more volume.

Don’t forget that you can keep your scooped-out shapes for a future creation!

What about you? Are you addicted to Project Life?

Have a lovely day,

Karine

Bonjour !

Inspiration Project Life aujourd'hui grâce à mon set "Life made simple-anniversaire #2"

Matériel : Pochettes ( Becky Higgins pour American Crafts ); Papier imprimé ( Jenni Bowlin Mercantile); Cartes pour Project Life (Studio Calico); Cardstock (American Crafts); Alphabets (American Crafts, Basic Grey); Autocollants ( October Afternoon, American Crafts, Studio Calico); Rub-ons ( Jenni Bowlin Studio, 7Gypsies); Badge ( Jenni Bowlin Studio); Masking Tape, Scotch imprimé ( Basic Grey) ;Tampons (Florilèges Design); Encre (Versafine noire et grise)

Die utilisé :

659748 : Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 3PK-Birthday#2
658300 : Sizzix Big Shot Starter Kit

J'ai utilisé ici le set "Life Made Simple-Anniversaire #2"

Addict au Project Life ?

Bonne journée

Karine
