A Happy Canvas Layout by Gerry van Gent

Hello Sizzix Friends and Happy Sunday!

I hope you all had a beautiful and cosy Christmas

and you all spent precious moments with your loved ones.

I am here today to share with you a canvas layout which has nothing
to do with Christmas or Winter :-)
It`s simply a happy, colourful canvas .... where I am featuring
 a few gorgeous Sizzix dies.

The Fancy Rectangle Frame was die cut twice using

pattern paper and white cardstock. I used the white

cardstock die-cut frame as a shadow.

As for the Brick Wall strip die - it was used all over 

the canvas in small pieces.

Once I die cut the Decorative Border I cut it exactly in two parts.

For the canvas I used only half of the border, adhered it on 

top left part of the canvas and decorated with lace.

The Ornate Hanging Sign was die cut from white cardstock.

For my project I used only the ornate part of the sign.

I added a final touch to it i.e. a small resin flower.

A "Merry Christmas" card by Gerry

Happy Sunday Sizzix friends!

Today I am sharing another Christmas Card I created for

one of my closest friends. Yes, I am still busy with my

hand-made Christmas cards - still a few to go :-)

The base of the card is made of white cardstock.

It`s a double card with a diameter of 12 cm. 

After adhering the pattern paper a puffy paint 

was added to the edges.

The Snowflake Frame was cut once from the pattern paper but

only less than the half was used for the card.

The snowflakes were covered with puffy paint.

I used the Bird Cage die as Christmas ornaments here.

They were die cut from both corrugated cardboard and pattern paper.

Once adhered on top of each other I added Glossy Accent.

Final touch was to add Stickles and the phrases.

The little swirl was cut out from the Ornate Hanging Sign.

Fijne Zondag allemaal mijn beste Sizzix vrienden!

Vandaag deel ik een kerstkaart met jullie die ik voor een 

van mijn beste vrienden heb gemaakt.

Jawel, ik ben nog steeds kerstkaarten aan het maken

Nog maar een paar te gaan

De basis van de kaart is witte cardstock. 

Het is een dubbele kaart met een diameter van 12cm.

Nadat het patroonpapier was bevestigd heb ik puffy paint

aan de randen toegevoegd.

Het Snowflake Frame was eenmaal uit het patroon papier gestanst,

enkel de helft echter is gebruikt voor deze kaart.

De sneeuwvlokken zijn ook voorzien van puffy paint.

Ik heb de Bird Cage stans als gebruikt als kerstdecoratie.

Deze zijn gestanst uit zowel golfkarton als patroonpapier. 

Nadat ze op elkaar zijn bevestigd heb ik Glossy Accent toegevoegd.

De final touch waren de Stickles en de phrases.

Hello everyone and Happy Sunday!

Today I have another seasonal card to share with you

where I am mixing new and old awesome Sizzix dies.

 Card Size: 10.2 cm x 15.5 cm

The Conservatory Window and Holiday Lamppost were die cut twice:

a. Once, using pattern paper and b. And second time using black and white cardstock.

The cardstock dies were used as shadows for the pattern paper windows.

The swirls decorating above the window are actually part of the Ornate Hanging Sign.

I cut out a few ornaments which I used for the top part of the window

and for the Holiday Lamppost as well.

Two Cards by Gerry van Gent

Happy Sunday Sizzix friends!
I created two cards for my post today and I hope
you will enjoy them as I enjoy making them.

My first card is using two types of Sizzix doilies - Vintage and Lovely doilies
which I like very much. Basically my card is a pure layering of
all the round shapes and adding small touches :-)

When the small rosette was completely ready I distressed the edges with blue Chalk Edger Pad.

Then I added on top a small die-cut Lovely doily. After that I added the twine bow en

finished with a circle from the pattern paper.

I cut the vintage small doily in two and I used only half to decorate the title.

I love looking through all my pattern papers with gorgeous elements,

flowers, phrases, etc. For this card the text I saw on one of those papers

(Prima Marketing, Madeline) made me think at once of the round die from

Snowflake Frame set. I tried it and it fit perfectly. Then I decorated the

circle with a Vintage doily and this is how I began creating this card.

The two hearts were die-cut from the Love Set. They are part of the word "LOVE".

I sanded the edges and adhered with a foam square pad.

The Garden Gate Album Die was used here to embellish the photo.

I die cut it by using corrugated cardboard and pattern paper at the same time.

In this way it pops and gives a beautiful dimension to your layout.

N.B. The wood grain pattern is from the paper collection!

The Pop 'n Cuts Butterfly Window Die was here used not

as a pop-up butterfly window but as an embellishment.

I die-cut it using two different pattern papers. After that I carefully

cut the butterflies out and sanded the edges.

Then I added in the middle of each butterfly a white rose as a final touch.

Hallo Sizzix vrienden!

Vandaag wil ik mijn laatste Sizzix pagina met jullie delen.

De Garden Gate Album Die  was hier als decoratie gebruikt.

Ik heb tegelijk golfkarton en patroon papier gestanst.

Op die manier geeft het hek een hele mooie dimensie.

N.B.  Het houtnerf patroon komt uit het patroon papier.

De Pop 'n Cuts Butterfly Window Die was hier weer gebruikt 

als decoratie en niet als een 3D vlinder raam.

Ik heb uit twee verschillende patroon papieren het vlinder raam gestanst.

Daarna heb ik ze voorzichtig uitgeknipt en langs de randen distressed.

Als laatste heb ik een witte roos precies in het midden geplakt.

Loving Thoughts Set

I cut the big swirl from Sizzix Bigz Die Classique into parts so

I can spread it all over the canvas.

I used the Rose Vine Embossing folder with a pattern paper.

I embossed the pattern and then cut out only a few leaves for decoration.

The Fancy Rectangle was used here not as a frame.

I cut out the ornate parts and used them to decorate the canvas.

Behind the photo I used an embossed oval frame which

was embossed from the Loving Thoughts Set.
