Hi All!

Daria is here. And today I would like to show you a layout about winter. In our region we have a lot of snow and cold wind. But we love winter, snow, skiing, skates and of course sleigh.

 I cut hearts using Hearts, Primitive #3 die. And I used not only the hearts but the hole too.

I cut doily and reindeers from vellum.

Сегодня я хочу показать страничку об одном из наших любимых зимних развлечений. Я живу на Урале и зимой у нас бывает довольно холодно, но мы всё-равно любим это время года, т.к. можно кататься на лыжах и коньках, и конечно же на санках! 

Для создания сердечек я использовала нож Hearts, Primitive #3. И приклеила на страничку не только сами сердечки, но и получившееся после вырезания отверстие. Салфетку и оленят я вырезала из кальки. Это мой любимый прием, потому что он придает вырезанным элементам легкость и воздушность.

Hobbycrafts NEC



Hello.

Today I want to share a post with you showing some of the samples I made for Hobbycrafts at the NEC at the beginning of the month.  Unfortunatly since then I have been really poorly with the flu and being 8 months pregnant it has knocked me for six!  However I am at last better and here to share my projects.

I was on the Aceville stand at the NEC and really did have a fabulous time meeting so many lovely people.  I got to work with some lovely Christmas dies by Brenda Walton.

I adore this Woodland Deer Decorative Strip, it is so sweet and just called out to decorate a jar!  I am planning on making a few more of these as Christmas gifts!

Another of my favourites was the Holiday Greenery, which I used to make this framed picture.  I love the way you can build as big a project as you like just by using this one die.

And finally here is a card I made using the Sizzlits Poinsettia Die

Well, that is all from me.  Maybe by the time I post again I might have some baby news!!

Today I have another card to share with you using

two of the NEW Brenda Walton seasonal dies.

This time I decided to use fabric on my card. To have a

strong base I die-cut the reindeer from corrugated cardboard.

I also die cut the reindeer from white cardstock so I can use

part of it as a shadow.

After die-cutting the reindeer from fabric I adhered it by using Fabric Mod Podge.

Then I added a another layer of Fabric Mod Podge on top. 

Once it was dry I added my last layer of paint - Mod Podge Dimensional Magic.

The die-cut border you see above the title was die-cut from  the

Snowflake Medallions - the smaller one.

N.B. I used only the top part!

The reindeer was decorated with Pearl drops, charm and small Vintage Doily.

I used white gel pen to paint the eye.

Deze keer heb ik voor mijn kaart stof gebruikt.

Om het rendier wat steviger te maken heb ik golfkarton gebruikt.

Ik heb ook het rendier uit wit karton gestanst om 

als een schaduw te gebruiken .

De stof rendier heb ik met Fabric Mod Podge geplakt en 

daarna heb ik nog een laagje Fabric Mod Podge aangebracht.

Toen het eenmaal gedroogd was heb ik een laagje verf aangebracht -

Mod Podge Dimensional Magic.

Ik heb de rand uit de kleiner Snowflake Medallions gestanst.

Het rendier was versierd met Pearl drops, charm en de klein Vintage Doily.

Voor de oog heb ik een witte gel pen gebruikt.
