Zombie Eyes

Hey guys,
after showing you some christmas cards the last weeks, I have a really easy halloween card for you. You just need your watercolors, white cardstock and a brush. :) And of course, the Sizzix Big Shot Plus Machine Only (White & Gray) #660020 and the Sizzix Framelits Die Set 8PK - Circles #657551.

  1. Draw some circles in different colors and very important: BE MESSY. These will be the zombie eyes for our card. Let it dry!
  2. Now use black watercolor to add the pupil of the eyes. I made some circles and stripes in different sizes. This looks more spooky! ;)
  3. Cut them out with your Big Shot Plus and put them onto your card. I decided to place a fun sentiment between them.
That´s it! :)

The fun fact about this card is, that you just imagine zombie eyes on this card at the second sight. My husband was like "oh, what a beautiful pattern" and than he realized what it really was. ;)

I hope I could inspire you to create your own spooooooky cards. :)
Have a nice day, xo Julia

Christmas Card Prototype #2

Hey guys,
how was your week? I´m still in progress creating prototypes for my christmas card this year. Using a lot of different Sizzix dies. This week I made a christmas-word-background with the holiday words. Maybe I´ll try some more colors for this kind of card. What do you think?

I love the colors of the sequins. They fit perfectly to christmas cards. I am a bit into violet and lavender this year. ;)

For a little more "glimmer" on my card, I used goldglitter watercolor to decorate the star.

My list of supplies that I used:
Watercolors in violet, yellow and goldglitter
Star stamp by hero arts
StazOn Ink Pad Tuxedo Black (works perfectly with watercolors)
Sequins by Pretty Pink Posh
Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit (White & Gray) #660515
Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 16PK - Holiday Words 2: Block #660976
Sizzix Framelits Die Set 5PK - Stars #657567

What will your cards look like this year? I´m curious about what you will make. :)
Have a nice weekend, xo Julia

Watercolor textured backgrounds

Hello, welcome to a new week! It's Anna posting today.
Experimentation is one of the best aspects of paper crafting. There are more techniques to make an Embossed Background using Sizzix Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Now that Sizzix have created the new Folders Plus, you increase possibilities and techniques, saving time!
Today’s tutorial shows how to combine a Plus embossing folder and inks spray for create “watercolor” textured backgrounds.
These are my cards:

Read on to discover this papercraft technique: how to make embossing watercolor cards (one of methods).

Spray different colours liberally onto your craft sheet (cling film).
Spray several times the water over the ink.
Press the cardstock (A4 sheet) into the ink.
Let a few drops of spray ink.
Make sure to fully dry your cardstock (with a heat tool, if you want).
The size of A4 cardstock is enough to cut 4 backgrounds for your cards and all of them are different! All that’s left is for you to use your watercolor backgrounds on your creations!

For my finished cards I used flower, twig and butterfly that I have cut out from cardstocks and patterned paper to embellish. To create flower and twig I used the dies of new great collection My Kind of Happy by Debi Potter.
The great thing about “watercolor” cards this way is that it will look different every time you do it. You can experiment with different colour combinations to see what sort of looks you can create.
I hope you enjoyed my tutorial today. Have a great week end, see you next Friday!

Per le amiche italiane! :)

Benvenuti!

Per creare fiori e ramoscello ho usato le nuove favolose fustelle della collezione My Kind of Happy by Debi Potter.

Buon week end, ci vediamo venerdì prossimo!

Items used:
cartoncini
ritagli di carte scrap
ink spray
pellicola da cucina
carta da lucido
brad

You make me happy with watercolors

Hey everyone,
today I have a card for you that I made with a lot of watercolors. I can´t get enough of my watercolors. I´m a graphic designer and part of my studies were illustration. And my personal favorite medium to create illustrations was watercolor. You see, every last word in my sentences is "watercolor". :D So, just have a look at my card. I really hope you like it.

Most of my projects including a lot of pink, but for this card I tried a little bit of more blue to get an other feeling for it. I love how it turned out with the pop of purple. Can you see it?

Here is my list of supplies I used:
Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit (White & Gray) #660515
Sizzix Accessory - Standard Magnetic Platform for Wafer-Thin Dies #656499
Sizzix Accessory - Cutting Pads, Standard, 1 Pair (Mint) #660522
Sizzix Thinlits Die - Happy Birds #660497
White Cardstock, Sequins, Watercolors and a Brush

Thank you for stopping by and have a nice weekend. :) xo Julia

just an experiment....

as you surely know, watercoloring is the newest trend - and of course
this is a trend i have to try...

All you need for this experiment is:

Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit (White & Gray)
Sizzix Textured Impressions Embossing Folder - Chevron Texture
Sizzix Framelits Die Set 5PK - Stars
Watercoloring Paper, Watercolors and of course water...

First of all you have to emboss the paper.
I choose the Sizzix Textured Impressions Embossing Folder - Chevron Texture.

But this time you do not only dry embossing - first you add
water and color onto the embossing folder - wet embossing quasi ;-)

Then i added the paper and put it into the the Big Shot...
a little decorating.... perfect...

Have a beautiful weekend, Stephanie

Hallo Ihr Lieben,

Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit (White & Gray)
Sizzix Textured Impressions Embossing Folder - Chevron Texture
Sizzix Framelits Die Set 5PK - Stars

Gold Glitter and Watercolor Card - perfect for a Wedding

Hello everybody,
it´s time for some pretty wedding cards. :) So many people are going to get married the next months and weeks, so I had to make my first card for this theme. Of course with my die cutting supplies from Sizzix, because it´s so super easy. ;)

So here is my list of supplies for this card:
blank card and white cardstock, gold glitter and watercolors, sentiment stamp

Butterflies, you can never have enought butterflies. ;) And I think they are perfect for wedding themed cards, decoration and gift wrapping. I combined a lot of white with some details in gold glitter with a bit of watercolor on my butterfly. I like that he looks like he want to fly away in the next seconds. :)

Do you like watercoloring? Have you added it to your die cutting projects so far? If not, give it a try. :) Have a nice day, xo Julia

------------------------------------------------------------

Houses on a hill card

Hi Sizzix friends!

Today I want to show you an easy colourful card with a nice message. I have used the Home sweet home dies designed by Craft Asylum for Sizzix and two more dies designed by Paula Pascual for Sizzix.

To make this beautiful card I have used the following supplies:

My Big Shot machineHome sweet home, Oval and Winter Borders dies, white cardstock,
kraft paper, some scrapbooking papers, lace ribbon, sparkly paper and watercolours.

First I have cut the cardstock 5 mm smaller than the kraft paper (the base of the card). Then
I have coloured the cardstock using blue watercolours like the sky.

Then I have die-cut the different sized houses and I have chosen the dark pink
for the windows and roofs.

As I want the houses to be on a hill I have decided to use a half of an oval die as the hill, die-cut
in a green flowered paper. (The magnet platform is very useful with this kind of dies)

Then I have all the die-cuts to create the card.

In the end I have decided to stamp this message “Que las estrellas iluminen tu camino” that in English would be similar to: “May the stars show you the way”.  I have added little stars that I have die-cut in sparkly white paper to highlight the message.

And finally this is the result:

Here are some details:

It's really fun to play with this dies !!!

Here is the hill !!!

Small stars on the sky !!!

I hope you have enjoyed this colourful and beautiful card. Thanks for your visit!

Have a creative and happy Friday!

--------

He utilizado los siguientes productos Sizzix:

¡Feliz y creativo viernes!
