Tutorial: Autumn flower in a rustic frame

Hi Sizzix friends!!!

It’s Friday again and Raquel is here. I continue in autumn mode so the project I show today is again inspired by this season.

To make this rustic frame I’ve used some leaves from Sizzix dies, of course! And this beautiful new flower die, some acrylic paint, candle, felt and cardstock.

Hola a todos!

De nuevo es viernes así que aquí estoy. Y como sigo en modo otoño, el proyecto que os enseño hoy está de nuevo inspirado en esta estación.

Para realizar este cuadro rústico he utilizado algunas troqueles de hojas de Sizzix, por supuesto!!! Y este precioso troquel de flor, pintura acrílica, vela, fieltro y cartulina.

A little embroidery hoop in a frame and... lot of love!

Hi Sizzix friends!

Today I want to show you a special home decoration I have created for a good friend. I have used the Heartfelt die and as a  principal focus: a little embroidery hoop!!!

I love to mix fabric and paper on my projects; in this case I’ve used linen fabric and burlap that combine perfectly with the white of the frame and the cardstock used as the background. All together give a smart result!!

Here are more details pictures:

The embroidery hoop includes the big heart of the dies that I’ve also embossed using the Botany decoration embossing folder. For the message I’ve die-cut the label included in the Floral wreath die set.

I’ve added some adhesive foam pads to emphasize the message

For the background I’ve used a white cardstock and die-cut lot of hearts in two different sizes to combine them to create the background decoration in a false embossment. Each heart is die-cut in two pieces to give more volume.

I’m very happy with the result of this home decoration and the best is that my friend liked it too!!!

¡Hola a todos!

Hoy quiero enseñaros una decoración especial que realicé para una buena amiga. He utilizado el troquel Heartfelt y como foco principal: un mini bastidor!!!

Me encanta mezclar tela y papeles en mis proyectos; en este caso he utilizado tela de lino y arpillera que combinan perfectamente con el blanco del marco y la cartulina que utilizada para el fondo. Todo ello proporciona un resultado elegante!!!

Foto de los detalles:

El bastidor incluye el corazón grande del troquel, que también he texturizado con al carpetilla Botany decoration. Para el mensaje he troquelado la etiqueta incluída en el kit de troqueles Floral wreath.

He añadido adhesivo 3D para realzar el mensaje.

Para el fondo he utilizado cartulina blanca texturizada y he troquelado muchos corazones en dos medidas diferentes para combinarlos y crear la decoración del fondo simulando un falso repujado. Cada corazón está troquelado en dos piezas para darle más volumen.

La verdad es que estoy muy contenta con el resultado y  lo mejor es que a mi amiga también le gustó!!!

Home decor with cork trivet

Hi Everyone! This is Anna.

Today I would like to share a short tutorial about how to create a Home décor using gorgeous new product!

Have you seen the new Love Birds collection? Adoreeee! The dies are a great size for Papercraft, also A4 size for Big Shot Plus.

As soon as I got my hands on them I had to make a project with one of them. The idea of my home décor start from a simple and affordable cork trivet...

 

 

 

How to make:

I traced the cork on the wrong side of my fabric.

I added some cm all the way around the circle before cutting the fabric.

I used my glue gun to attach the fabric to the cork.

I embellished using Sizzix Big Shot Plus machine and new die Sizzix Thinlits Plus Die - Love Birds 3-D Floral #2.

I used also a Bigz die to diecut a branch with leaves.

 

 

To make flower: Die-cut 3-D Floral from cardstock. Starting at the outside of the Flower, wrap the end around a wood dowel like a wooden skewer.

When you finish rolling the Flower, remove the stick and tighten or loosen the bundle to your liking. Finish the Flower by adding a glue dot or a drop of hot glue to the inside of the circular flap at the very center of the Flower. Close the flap against the bottom loops of the Flower.

Ciao a tutti! Sono Anna e sono qui con un nuovo progetto Sizzix.

Oggi vorrei condividere un breve tutorial per creare un Home decor utilizzando una nuova fantastica fustella, che credo proprio vi piacerà!

Non so se avete già visto la nuova collezione Love Birds. Io l'adoro! Le fustelle sono perfette per il Papercraft, anche in formato A4 da usare con la Big Shot Plus.

Non appena ho avuto tra le mani qualcuna di queste fustelle ho dovuto subito provarle, realizzando questo semplice progetto. L'idea del mio home decor parte da un semplice ed economico sottopentola in sughero... vi spiego meglio!

 

Come fare:

Ho segnato il cerchio del sottopentola sul rovescio del mio tessuto.

Ho aggiunto alcuni centimetri tutto intorno al cerchio prima di tagliare la stoffa.

Con la colla a caldo, ho fissato il tessuto al sughero, schiacciando bene per evitare brutte arricciature.

Ho quindi abbellito il mio pannello base con la macchina Sizzix Big Shot Plus e la nuova fustella Sizzix Thinlits Plus Die - Love Birds 3-D Floral #2.

Ho usato anche una fustella Bigz per tagliare un ramoscello dal cartoncino, che avevo precedentemente spruzzato con colore spray. Per il ramoscello ho usato una fustella, che ormai è un classico, è che fa parte degli “Essential Range” (elenco materiali in fondo).

Per fare il fiore: fustellare il 3-D Floreal dal cartoncino. Quindi, partendo dalla parte esterna del Fiore, avvolgere l'estremità intorno ad un spiedino di legno (vedi foto).

Al termine estrarre il Fiore, togliere lo spiedino e avvolgere o srotolare a proprio piacimento, in modo da rendere più piccola o più grande la rosa. Mettere un po' di colla o una goccia di colla a caldo al centro del Fiore (sul retro) e chiudere sopra il lembo finale.

Happy Friday everyone, It's Anna with a new Sizzix project.

I'm in the home stretch until summer vacation! Just four more days! I'm so looking forward to the slower paced summer days. No schedules, no running... yeah!

Today I would like to share a short tutorial about how to create a Home decor: a sweet little house on a canvas background.

 

 
This frame is a cute gift (for others or yourself) and is the perfect choice to celebrate a young couple, a new house or an anniversary.
 

 
How to make:
Preparing your frame: once you have purchased your frame, remove the packaging, glass and mat from the frame.
I first covered my background frame with fabric.
I cut out my house from some patterns and put it together using Original die.
I stitched on die cut house and roof.
I cut out the "love" from felt using my Big Shot Plus. The thickness of the Original dies (or Bigz) makes it very easy to cut through thick materials as felt.
The last embellishment was the heart that I created with Original dies, glued above lace.
Ready to hang!

Buon Venerdì a tutti, sono Anna con un nuovo progetto Sizzix.

Finalmente sono in dirittura d'arrivo per le vacanze estive! Mancano pochi giorni! Non vedo l'ora di abbandonare i ritmi lavorativi e passare bei momenti senza orari, senza correre...

Ma veniamo a noi, oggi vorrei condividere un breve tutorial su come creare un facile home decor: una dolce casetta su uno sfondo di tessuto.

Questa cornice può essere un simpatico regalo (per gli altri o per se stessi) e adatto a festeggiare una giovane coppia, una casa nuova o anche un anniversario.

 
Ecco come fare:

Preparazione della cornice: togliere l'imballaggio, il vetro e il retro.

Rivestire il lo sfondo in tessuto a scelta. Io ho scelto una stoffa dalla trama pesante, di un bel colore viola.

Ho fustellato la mia casetta con la fustella Original, usando ritagli di carte fantasia.

Ho cucito a macchina la casa e il tetto direttamente sul tessuto. Se volete potete solo incollare, senza cucire.

Tagliare con la Big Shot Plus la parola "love" da un pezzo di feltro. Lo spessore delle fustelle Original (così come le Bigz) rende molto facile tagliare materiali spessi come feltro, stoffa ecc

Come ultimo tocco, ho fustellato due cuoricini, li ho sovrapposti ed incollati sopra ad una striscia di pizzo colorato. Un bottone di stoffa sulla “o” dona un tocco più “handmade” a tutto l'insieme.

Ecco il quadretto, pronto da appendere o da regalare!

Daisy Love - Homedeko

Hello there...

do you remember those summer days, sitting in the grass, picking daisys for a small
bouquet for your mom? I loved it.

But a view days later the daisys were withered  :-(

So i decided to make a bouquet that lasts a little longer.

All you need:
Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit (White & Gray)
Sizzix Bigz Die - Layering Daisy
buttons and wire
a vase
Ribbon (i used blue/white striped ribbon and bast fibers)
double sided adhesive tape

First i decorated the vase with the double sided adhesive tape, the ribbon and the fibers.

Then you need a lot of daisys.
I fixed the single leaves with a button and wire on top of each other....
(you need to do this some times - its a perfect activity while watching TV ;-)

Put the daisys into the vase - now you have a cute homedeco.

Hallo Ihr Lieben,

erinnert ihr euch an die Sommertage, als ihr in der Wiese im Gras gesessen habt
und einen Gänseblümchenstrauß für eure Mama gepflückt habt? Ich habe es geliebt.

Aber ein paar Tage später waren die Gänseblümchen verwelkt.

Also habe ich entschieden, einen Strauß zu machen, der etwas länger hält.


Alles was ihr braucht:
Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit (White & Gray)
Sizzix Bigz Die - Layering Daisy
Knöpfe und Draht
eine Vase
Baumwollband (ich habe das schöne blau/weiß gestreifte benutzt)
Bastband
Doppelseitiges Klebeband

Zuerst dekoriert ihr die Vase mit dem Doppelseitigen Klebeband, dem Baumwollband und
dem Bastband.

Dann braucht ihr jede Menge Gänseblümchen.
Ich habe die einzelnen Blätter des Dies mit Knöpfen und Draht aufeinander fixiert.

Dann ab mit den Gänseblümchen in die Vase - fertig ist der Blumenstrauß,

Habt viel Spaß damit.

A jar like a photo frame!

Hi Sizzix friends!

Today I want to show you a new home decoration I’ve created. It is a jar, that match the sea frame I'd shown you two weeks ago. I’ve decorated the jar with the beautiful Tribal hearts die used like a bunch.  Let me show you!

I have used a beans glass that I've painted with blue chalk paint. 

Then I’ve die-cut some kraft and white cardstock hearts and combine them to create heart flowers.  I’ve also decorated wooden skewers with a decorative ribbon.

These die-cutting hearts are so beautiful!!! 

To finish the jar I’ve also decorated with a kraft heart die-cut a piece of burlap, a ribbon and 

a rope lace.

This summer my home decorations are in blue, kraft and white colours.

The result is a beautiful home decoration to use like a frame!!!

¡Hola a todos!

En el post de hoy os quería enseñar la última decoración que he hecho para casa. Se trata de un bote reciclado que conjunta con el cuadro marino que os enseñé hace un par de semanas. El bote lo he decorado utilizando el troquel Tribal hearts ...¡Me encantan estos corazones! imitando un ramo. Pero mejor os lo enseño.

Se trata de un bote de judías que he reciclado pintándolo con pintura chalk azul provenza.

He troquelado en kraft y blanco y los he combinado para crear las flores de corazones. También he decorado unos palillos largos con cinta decorativa. 

¡Me encanta este troquel!

Para acabar de decorar el jarrón he utilizado uno de los corazones troquelados en kfrat, arpillera, cinta de tela y he hecho una lazada con cuerda.

El resultado es un bonito jarrón para utilizar cómo porta fotos!!!

A frame filled with flowers

Hello everybody,

today I have a pretty home decoration inspiration for you. I love motivational quotes and I got this one in January at a trade show. I had it in my drawer for a long time now, but I thought that it need a special  place in my craftroom. So I decided to make a pretty floral frame for it.

I love this frame! To get a little more depth I die cutted the birds out of whit foam. They look really pretty and I like that they are sitting on this flower wreath discreetly. :) So, I hope you got a little bit inspired to create something beautiful for your home.

Hallo ihr Lieben, heute gibt es mal ein bisschen Home Deco. :)

Dieser Rahmen hängt nun bei mir im Scrapzimmer. Ich muss zugeben, dass ich wirklich noch nicht den geeigneten Platz zum Fotografieren für Dekoration gefunden habe. So ganz zufrieden bin ich mit den Fotos nicht, aber gut… :) Man erkennt zumindest was ich zeigen möchte oder?  ;)

Rosa und Pink gehen bei mir ja immer! :) Ich hoffe ich konnte euch ein wenig inspirieren, euch auch mal wieder eine neue Dekoration fürs Heim zu zaubern. Mit der Big Shot und ein paar Stanzen ist das auch gar kein Problem! :)
