New Graphic mini Book by Karine

Here is a new mini book inspired by Project Life, handmade with nice pockets from Simple Stories! I used a combo that I love: sea green, pink and a touch of yellow to give dynamism! Are you with me?

As usual I built my mini book with cardboard, papers, cardstock and transparent pockets. I used my Big Shot machine to cut my paper scraps and decorate my project :-)

Cut pretty houses out of sea green cardstock. I love this die; it is so cute, isn’t it? I cut it twice so that I can put the focus on the roof by gluing a second paper piece with 3D adhesive foam. The little windows will be cut out of in other paper scraps and superimposed so as to create a contrast with colours! What a great result, don’t you think?

I used the “Be Happy” die twice. It will be framed by pattern paper to make it stand out more.

On the little squares pocket, I wanted to contrast with the even pattern so I added a big “&” cut out of sea green cardstock scrap to serve as decoration. This set is on sales at the moment so do not hesitate to buy it! It is very easy to use and can be adapted to every theme!

Comme d'habitude j'ai construit mon mini à base de carton, papiers, cardstock et pochettes plastifiées. J'ai sorti ma Big Shot pour découper mes chutes de papiers et décorer mon projet :)

Dans du cardstock vert eau, découpez de jolies maisonnettes ! Un die que j'adore il est trop mignon , n'est ce pas ? Je me suis amusée à le découper deux fois pour mettre les toits en valeur à l'aide de mousse 3D, les petites fenêtres seront quant à elles découpées dans d'autres chutes puis superposer pour jouer sur le contraste de couleurs ! Un rendu extra, n'est ce pas ?

J'ai utilisé à deux reprises la découpe " Be Happy", celle ci sera mattée sur du papier imprimé afin de la refaire ressortir davantage.

Sur la pochette petits carrés j'ai voulu trancher avec ce côté régulier en rajoutant en décoration un grand "&" découpé dans une chute de cardstock vert eau. Profitez-en, ce set est en super solde en ce moment ! Il est très facile à utiliser et s'adapte à toutes thématiques !

Love House altered frame

Happy Friday everyone, It's Anna with a new Sizzix project.

I'm in the home stretch until summer vacation! Just four more days! I'm so looking forward to the slower paced summer days. No schedules, no running... yeah!

Today I would like to share a short tutorial about how to create a Home decor: a sweet little house on a canvas background.

 

 
This frame is a cute gift (for others or yourself) and is the perfect choice to celebrate a young couple, a new house or an anniversary.
 

 
How to make:
Preparing your frame: once you have purchased your frame, remove the packaging, glass and mat from the frame.
I first covered my background frame with fabric.
I cut out my house from some patterns and put it together using Original die.
I stitched on die cut house and roof.
I cut out the "love" from felt using my Big Shot Plus. The thickness of the Original dies (or Bigz) makes it very easy to cut through thick materials as felt.
The last embellishment was the heart that I created with Original dies, glued above lace.
Ready to hang!

Buon Venerdì a tutti, sono Anna con un nuovo progetto Sizzix.

Finalmente sono in dirittura d'arrivo per le vacanze estive! Mancano pochi giorni! Non vedo l'ora di abbandonare i ritmi lavorativi e passare bei momenti senza orari, senza correre...

Ma veniamo a noi, oggi vorrei condividere un breve tutorial su come creare un facile home decor: una dolce casetta su uno sfondo di tessuto.

Questa cornice può essere un simpatico regalo (per gli altri o per se stessi) e adatto a festeggiare una giovane coppia, una casa nuova o anche un anniversario.

 
Ecco come fare:

Preparazione della cornice: togliere l'imballaggio, il vetro e il retro.

Rivestire il lo sfondo in tessuto a scelta. Io ho scelto una stoffa dalla trama pesante, di un bel colore viola.

Ho fustellato la mia casetta con la fustella Original, usando ritagli di carte fantasia.

Ho cucito a macchina la casa e il tetto direttamente sul tessuto. Se volete potete solo incollare, senza cucire.

Tagliare con la Big Shot Plus la parola "love" da un pezzo di feltro. Lo spessore delle fustelle Original (così come le Bigz) rende molto facile tagliare materiali spessi come feltro, stoffa ecc

Come ultimo tocco, ho fustellato due cuoricini, li ho sovrapposti ed incollati sopra ad una striscia di pizzo colorato. Un bottone di stoffa sulla “o” dona un tocco più “handmade” a tutto l'insieme.

Ecco il quadretto, pronto da appendere o da regalare!

 

Bene, spero che il progetto di oggi vi sia piaciuto. Non vedo l'ora di condividere altre idee e progetti utilizzando le magiche fustelle Sizzix!

Good morning everybody!
We are still excited to be part of this fantastic team and today we show you our first project for Sizzix that it's a design object too, the SCACCIAPENSIERI.
It can become a very original gift and it can be composed with different parts.

We are great lovers about little paper home in every form and we used all the new collection Sizzix dies thinking about spring that coming.

Take your paper cutouts and choose color palette you think is best. 
Die cut the various forms of paper (little house, butterfly, flower..)
Join the sundry pieces that compose these elements, pasting.
Then take a cotton thread, of any thickness, and fix your figures by hot glue.
Complete your wires step by step, and then bind them to a horizontal support (in this case to a little branch).
This branch is attached to the end by a wire and it will serve to hang it.
It is permitted to tie, at the end of any wire, some element that produce sounds, like little bells, or little glasses..

Buongiorno a tutti!
Ancora emozionate per far parte di questo bel team, oggi vi presentiamo il nostro primo progetto per Sizzix che è anche un complemento d'arredo, lo SCACCIAPENSIERI.
Può anche diventare un regalo originale ed essere composto con figure differenti.

Noi grandi amanti delle casette di carta in tutte le forme abbiamo usato le fustelle della nuova collezione  pensando alla primavera che sta arrivando!!

Prendete i ritagli di carta che avete in casa e scegliete la palette di colori che più vi piace
Fustellate le varie forme di carta (piccole case, farfalle, fiori..)
Assemblate i vari pezzi che compongono gli elementi, incollandoli.
Prendete poi un filo di cotone dello spessore che preferite e fissate le figure con la colla a caldo
Man mano che completate i fili, legateli ad un supporto orizzontale (in questo caso un piccolo ramo)
Il ramo è legato alle estremità da un filo che servirà per appenderlo
E possibile inserire alla fine di ogni filo elementi che producano suoni, come campanelle, piccoli vetri, etc.

Hello!

Hello everyone!!
My name is Manuela and I'm very glad to start a work experience with and for Sizzix Blog team.
I live in Rome (Italy) and the paper has always occupied a special place in my life.

With my friend Sara have been running 'Pasticci di carta' (Paper Mess), for a few years so far.
Pasticci di carta is the world of two bumblings, mothers and life friend, where the paper comes to life, and it becomes a game, a gift, an atmosphere, a fairy tale to tell, an idea to share.

I always loved handmade and to create something great starting with something little and simple.
I like to observe the paper under new points of view, like part of design, like creative recycling, like a simple and think gift.

Since the blog was born, about one year, we have new relationship and we feel to share a style and a way to see the world through creativity, outside the geographical borders.
Sizzix has been with us in this growth.

Below we have added images from a previous project made with Sizzix dies which we really enjoyed creating.

Ciao a tutti!

Mi chiamo Manuela e sono felicissima di iniziare questa nuova avventura nel blog team di Sizzix.
Vivo a Roma e nella mia vita la carta ha sempre occupato un posto speciale.

Insieme alla mia amica Sara da qualche anno abbiamo dato vita a Pasticci di carta ('paper mess'), il mondo di due pasticcione, mamme e amiche di vita dove la carta prende vita e diventa un gioco, un regalo, un' atmosfera, una fiaba da raccontare, un' idea da condividere.

Sin da piccola ho amato le cose fatte a mano e la passione con cui si crea qualcosa di unico con poco.
Mi piace osservare la carta da altri punti di vista, come oggetto di design, come riciclo creativo, come un regalo semplice e pensato.

Da quando è nato il blog, circa un anno fa, abbiamo stretto nuovi legami, abbiamo sentito di poter condividere un modo di vedere il mondo attraverso la creatività, superando i confini geografici.

Sizzix ci ha accompagnato in questa crescita, e le nostre 'casette pasticciate' nascono da qui.

Abbiamo già un sacco di idee e di progetti per voi e speriamo vi piacciano..!!
