"A Smile for Mom" by Gerry van Gent

Happy Sunday Sizzix friends!

Maybe you have already guessed (by the title!) that my
blog post today is dedicated to my mom. Living far away from
my mom is not only hard for me but also hard for my mom.
That's why I love sending her photos - and of course, some of
the photos are scrapped like this one today.
Perfect present for Mother's Day!
I chose my favourite "scrap" canvas which is A4 size and
perfectly matching the Sizzix Big Shot Plus machine.

My very first step was to emboss the background paper.

I used the A4 Embossing Folder included in the Starter Kit.

The die-cut letter "a" was adhered underneath an epoxy sticker.

I die cut a few times both of these Decorative Bubbles 

using different papers. Then I began mixing them and 

creating embellishments for my photo.

The big flower was created by using both sizes Bigz Die flowers included 

in the Starter Kit - I die cut them so many times until the flower looked "full".

For the centre I hand made the rose by using one of the old dies (558504 Rose 3D)

I added a bit of Stickles.

Hello Sizzix peeps!

Hope you are all enjoying a relaxed Sunday!

Today I want to share with you a canvas I created

using awesome Sizzix dies. Scrapping on canvas is an 

absolute pleasure for me for the last years.
So here is one I created especially for you :-)

For the die Moroccan Card Front I used black cardstock in order to have

contrast to my pastel coloured background. Once it was die cut I separated 

it in a few pieces and added as decoration to the photo.

When I die cut the butterflies I carefully fussy cut three of them 

so I can use them separately on my project!

To make my project even more personal I hand made some of the flowers

by using the super awesome die Tattered Florals.

I chose brown fabric canvas which I combined with some white lace and ...

of course a brad to fasten the pieces altogether.

I also die cut two small flowers extra to use them on the canvas.

The two hearts were stamped and die cut with Love, Hugs & Hearts Die set.

Inks: Distress ink Pad - Pumice Stone, Archival Ink - Watering Can

How to do:

 Die cut Tapered Fringe in patterned paper with Sizzix Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die - Tapered Fringe
Spray gentle water over (it is easier to work with "wet" paper). Fold and glue it as a "Rosette". Die cut doily in patterned paper with Sizzix Sizzlits Die - Vintage Doily
Glue the doily on the top of the "Rosette". Glue a flower on the top.

Die cut Cameo Frame 2x in patterned paper with Sizzix Movers & Shapers Die - Cameo Frame
Sew or glue the edges together. Distress two tags with Distress ink Pad - Pumice Stone and stencil


Die cut greenery in patterned paper with Sizzix Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die - Spring Greenery  
Glue greenery and "Rosette" on the top of the card. 

Put a tag in the both side of the card.

Spray forsiktig  vann over (det er lettere å jobbe med fuktig papir). Foldes og limes som en "Rosette". Stans ut "doily" i mønsterark med Sizzix Sizzlits Die - Vintage Doily
Lim "doily" på toppen av "Rosette". Lim en blomst på toppen.
Stans ut Cameo Frame 2x i mønsterark med Sizzix Movers & Shapers Die - Cameo Frame
Sy eller lim kantene sammen.  Distress to tags med Distress ink Pad - Pumice Stone og stensi.

Stans ut grener i mønsterark med  Sizzix Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die - Spring Greenery  
Lim grener og "Rosette" på toppen av kortet. Stikk inn en tag inn i hver side av kortet.

Here are a few close-ups for you....

The bird cage is die cut from corrugated 

cardboard and pattern paper.

I combined a few fussy cut flowers from the paper

collection with the doilies...

Use foam squares with your favourite dies -

it gives such a beautiful dimension to your project!

I hope you all had a beautiful week, Here in Denmark the weather be like spring. Today i will show you a white/ grey card using different sorts of beautiful Sizzix dies

How to make:
Make a cardbase using white cardstock 12x13,5 cm. Cut out patterned paper 11,5x 13  cm
Die cut the different sorts og sizzix die glue to the cardbase using 3D foam

Hello Sizzix friends and 

Happy Sunday!

Today I would love to share with you a layout using
different Sizzix dies and an embossing folder. This is also
one of the  layouts I was teaching during  my workshops in 2013.

The Decorative heart border was cut in many pieces and

spread over the layout to give more texture.

The photo was placed in an embossed frame.

The inside rectangle was simply removed from the

embossed frame and instead a photo was adhered.

Both vintage doilies were used to layer the flowers.

The lattice and the brick wall dies were used both 

to decorate the background. For this purpose I once again

cut the dies into different sizes and adhered them

mainly by using modelling paste.
