Hello Everyone,
Today I'm so moved because this is the first article for Sizzix and for me it's a huge dream can work with this company! I have always loved Sizzix products, I can say that I am a Sizzixaholic!!! LOL
Today I want to share with you a very funny project! A pillow! I love sewing even if I am not a seamstress! It makes me relaxed!
Ok let's start!
Materials you need:
- A pillow , my pillow is 34x34 cm
- Fabric cutter and scissors
- Fabrics that you love
- Big shot
- Bow, create a flower die
- Framelits circle
- Sewing machine
- Iron
- Buttons and other embellishments
STEP 1
Cut the fabric that will cover the pillow, you can chose to cut two separated squares or on long rectangle like you prefer.
Give it a try and decide what will be the front of your pillow because there you will sew the flower petals.
STEP 2
Start choosing the background fabric, I used a grey color to play with bright colors and patterns. Use your big shot and the awesome bow, build a flower die to make many petals! I used the large petal die and I folded in half the petals. Stand the petals on your fabric cover and see how adjust the different pieces.
Isn't it lovely?
STEP 3
It's time to sew! All the petals to create an half flower :)
Sew one petal a time, trying to make them in a circle :)
STEP 4
Now add some circle pieces of another fabric to give to your pillow a cool touch! ;) The circle framelits are perfect for this! I am completely in love with them! The half circles will be like a patch.
STEP 5
STEP 4
Now add some circle pieces of another fabric to give to your pillow a cool touch! ;) The circle framelits are perfect for this! I am completely in love with them! The half circles will be like a patch.
STEP 5
Once you have stitched every single piece fold in half your long rectangle and stitch on the reverse on the two sides of your cover fabric, left and right side! You will have a sort of bag to put inside the pillow.
If you have cut two fabric squares you will have to stitch them back to back on three sides, leave the fourth free to put the pillow and after to close it.
Add some buttons:)
