This weekend I am off to the Summer Crafting event at Doncaster racecourse which is sponsored by our good friends over at QVC. There will be over 75 stands selling a range of craft products including Cardmaking, scrapbooking and jewelery making goodies.

I will be one of many guest demonstrators providing free make & takes over the two days, but get there early because places are limited. If you want to know more here is the link http://www.summercrafting.co.uk/

Below is an example of the card we will be making and I hope to share a few tips & tricks along the way too. I used the Framelits and stamps set Butterflies (657578) and a set of Textured Impressions Embossing Folders Psychedelic Dreams Set (657820).

For good measure we added a few adhesive gems and a bunch of plain white card. In order to add a splash of colour I chose a couple of ink pads which work well together, they are Memento dye ink pads and the colours are Pear Tart and Lulu Lavender.

The idea is to produce something quick and effective using a few simple materials. I am great believer that the less we have to work with, the more creative it makes us, It is definately true in my case. Just to prove it, here are a selection of some of the cards I made using those same few materials.

Hope to see some of you at the Summer Crafting event.
