Lace and doily - perfect match!

Hi again friends!
I'm back to you with some more inspirations for using Sizzix dies to embellish your scrapbook pages.
Like most of of scrapbookers I'm in love with Doily and lace patterns... I use them again and again, over and over in different configurations and sizes, that's why I was so excited to see Sizzix Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die - Flower Garden with Scallops (657708), which in my opinion is a perfect match to Sizzix On the Edge Die - Distressed Doily (657496) by Tim Holtz. Toghether, they go ust beautifully with feminine, vintage looking or shabby projects... well with grungy ones too - let me try convince you about that now!

On this layout, based on new Prima Rondelle Collection I used loads of lace and doily patterns: there are 2 Disstressed Doily cut -outs and 1 Flower Garden strip cut into smaller pieces together with 2 paper doilies from my collection, resin embellishments and flowers.
All the composition is heavily distressed and painted with sprays, tea stain and metallic acrylics.

Here are some close-ups too - here you can see different layers of the layout...

Here are more details of the Flower Garden decorative strip - I love the stained and painted effect on it against white, Distressed Doily cut out!

I hope you like the ideas I've shared:)
Thank you for visiting us again - see you next Friday and have a great, creative weekend!

xoxo
