Summer is still here

Well hello on a lovely sunny September morning. It does seem silly to be thinking about Christmas when the sun is so bright and the windows are all open because it's so warm ( but Christmas is only 151/2 weeks away and that will soon go by - is it delusional to think that maybe I will reach Christmas Eve having all gifts made and wrapped - maybe. )

So here is another selection of table runners  and then next week I'll showcase some Christmas fabrics to get the thoughts and ideas flowing - we'll give Summer another week.

I love the bright colours in these.

This runner is made just using 2 dies, with the Big Shot, - 657607 (2" finished square) and 657605 (4" x 2" finished rectangle ), it makes me think of tropical holidays. It can be made from one collection of fabric, or  with a selection of your brightest scraps.

I like the simplicity of this runner - made using just the tumbler die 657616 - it's so quick to put together and looks more complicated than it is - a great die if you're in a hurry.

Another design that is easier than it looks and very effective - I used the rectangle die 657605, again, but partnered it with 657615.
This would also be stunning in just 2 colours.

This final runner is quite cool - and could be used in the winter. This one was the most difficult to make - I used 3 dies - 657611 (2" finished square), 657607 ( 2" finished half-square triangle) and the 2" finished width strip 656681 or 658328 (the strips were cut to the required length as they were needed).

I had to lay the whole thing out and then make a row at a time - it would look great in reds and greens with gold tassels for your Christmas celebrations.

Have a great week whatever the weather.
